OmniFocus 4

I’ve been using this for years, it gets better and better. The product certainly beats the competition with its focus and simplicity but powerful tools underneath. And there is customer service, real humans who know stuff and actually care.

How can you charge existing customers this much for an app that isn’t markedly different? Have already bought the lifetime version of the app from you and you’re trying to sting me for £70. It’s pretty clear your business model isn’t sustainable if this is what you’re resorting to.

This app is a mess compared to previous versions. Non intuitive controls. For a Premium priced app it’s really poor and shame on the devs for releasing it in this state.

Much better design but almost unusable. I have been a user of the pro edition for many years now.

Wtaf is the problem with the drag to reorganise feature?? Needs fixing asap. I thought the reviews were being dramatic but it straight up does not work. Devs need to pull their finger out asap. Crazy to leave such an insane problem untouched for as long as they have.

I can’t find the watch widgets, why did you remove it?

When I first came across Omnifocus, years ago, I read the description and it came across as a glorified to-do list manager. I couldn't see why one would need it. These days it is an important part of how I manage my working and private life. I have large numbers of small projects and one big one, and this is the best tool I have come across for keeping track of what I need to do, and when. However to get the best out of it, you will need to put some thought in to how you want to use it. It is a tool, not a method. You would do best to pick a method (e.g Getting Things Done, which is what I use) and see whether it supports the method that you want to use.

OmniFocus is one of the few finest apps for Apple devices. Its downfall used tobe that it had too many bugs, but the bug fixes and functional improvements in version 4 are beginning to win me over.
