Onkyo Controller is the official Onkyo remote control application that allows users to conveniently operate compatible Onkyo network products from their iPhone/iPod touch/iPad.
The intuitive, user-friendly interface makes it easy to get more from your AV home entertainment experience.

Main functions that can be operated through this application.
(1) Play music in each room or every room
- Lets you play music from music streaming services such as Pandora, Spotify, DEEZER and TIDAL, your music library on your smart device, or your NAS drive on compatible products.
- You can play your music via radio, Bluetooth and USB.

(2) Remote control functions
- You can operate general control functions (play/stop, control the volume, select the input source, etc.) from your smartphone.

(3) Operation of connected product（home theater product such as AV amplifier）
- Lets you control a Blu-Ray Disc player or TV that is connected to an AV amplifier or home theater product via HDMI.

(4) Dirac Live-enabled products measure automatic sound field correction. In addition, filters can be edited.

(5) Audio/Video formats of input and output can also be checked.

*By setting the “Network Standby” menu item in the unit’s initial settings to ON, you can use this application to turn on the power of the unit.

・Why Device's location is needed? Answer: In order to set-up your wireless devices which are located around you, SSID and Access Point info is needed. There is no other purpose to use the information of Device’s Location.

Great app and very useful

Really nice and clear UI include all important futures. In my opinion amazing app

Not good.

This latest update broke a pretty good version of the controller. Nothing works, absolutely nothing. One and only plus is that they made the volume controller cool. Only this. The update broke everything.

Cannot connect with Pioneer MRX-3 after update

I cannot connect with Pioneer MRX-3 speaker after latest update. Speaker is not being found. It’s not connecting even when I manually enter an IP address. Before update it was working perfectly, I could steer my Pioneer speaker with this app and I was able to group it with Onkyo TX-8270 so they played the same music. Please help!

Nice app for development

It would be great if someone would introduce shortcats (workflows), example: one click on main screen turnos on receiver to tune in and then to certain radio station, or one click starts to play whole folder on local network folder with mp3, or one click turns on night mode or decreases bass etc etc Thats what I mostly like to see. Sometimes the app/onkyo was freezing, recently havent noticed, maybe something was fixed through firmware.

Żeby korzystać z aplikacji trzeba resetować co chwilę telefon. Aplikacja do sterowania najgorsza z możliwych.

Worst app

Just fix it. It’s shameful that it doesn’t work as it should

Almost right

I like the app. It supports almost all my requirements. Please add possibility to change which speakers are playing A/B. I use two pairs of speakers. One inside, second outside. I can’t change in the app A/B speakers while I’m sitting in the garden. Thanks!!!

Wifi support

Tx 686 user. No possibility of using app if both the mobile and reciever are connected via 5g wifi. Which the reciever supports by the way... Had to figure it out by myself because theres no info about it as well. Works decent over 2.4g wifi or cable. Other thing is that the app is not intuitive at all. And it gives you pretty much nothing over the remote. Even sound format you just have to push again and again just like on the remote. Just a remote with extra steps. Expected more from a company this big making such good hardware.
