I have used this App for 10 days in Sydney & NSW and have found it one of the best transport apps that I have used. I found it simple and intuitive to use and also accurate. Congratulations to the developers on creating such a useable customer interface with the data.
Extremely frustrating
App is not working at all. Crashes every time I try to open it
An incredibly useless app
Straight away the app helpfully advertises that I can scan my opal card to get set up. No such functionality exists. Entering my opal card details manually results in repeated “server error”, doesn’t matter if I try to do so via the registered or unregistered user UX path. In short… do better.
The app has started to delete my card details randomly. Not very helpful as cant easily check balance, check journeys etc. very frustrating.
Also took 20mins to update the card with top up. Feels very much like 2012. As a visitor I’m non-plussed.
I downloaded the app when I arrived and have used it all week. It hasn’t let me down and seems very intuitive. Only slight gripe is that I’ve struggled to get info about some terms used in the Sydney travel vernacular e.g. what does ‘pre-pay only’ mean in terms of tapping on and off with a contactless card? Loved getting around using all the different public transportation and this app made that possible with confidence.
Latest app removes the option to check if you have any incomplete trips due to tap off being missed, or buses not registering them. Poor customer experience given you should ensure people pay for the service they use, and are not overcharged.
