Paid but still getting ads
It’s a good app to meet new people and read the forum posts HOWEVER, I paid for a subscription and I’m still having ads show up when I’m scrolling forum posts. Why bother paying for a subscription when there are still ads? Will be canceling my subscription if this isn’t fixed soon. What a waste 🙄
Great concept - subscription too expensive so people don’t actually use the app
I love the concept of this app and the design (matches, profiles, messages etc)
However majority of the features on this app require an expensive subscription which 95% of mums don’t buy (I can tell because everyone writes on their profile “I can’t see waves so message me direct”)
It is daunting to message someone directly, the concept of just waving at them is far less daunting. Anyhow I did directly message a lot of other mums because I didn’t have the paid subscription and 95% of my messages weren’t replied too.
I think if this wasn’t a paid subscription app it would be a lot more successful and women would use it a LOT more - especially the wave feature to break the ice.
Maybe the owners of the app could consider removing the subscription and making their $$ off ads instead…
Mothers on maternity leave generally can’t afford unnecessary expenses and I’d say this app is one of them unfortunately.
Great APP
I really love this APP - thank you. A safe space to ask questions or join chats. I’ve learnt so much from other ladies, or picked up key words to research further. Only suggestion to developers would be to add a “search function” to the groups. Some topics are discussed multiple times a day so would be great to search for a topic that’s already been discussed, so info isn’t repeated a lot. Otherwise, am enjoying this APP - thank you.
Good idea but doesn’t work
Being a mum can be so isolating so meeting other mums who are in the same situation is a good idea. Unfortunately I found it to be a waste of time trying to connect this way via the peanut app, no one replies and if they do they ghost you after a couple of messages. It’s so frustrating. I will revert to the old fashioned in person way I think!
Not even remotely worth it
The best way to make friends is IRL. These apps are just an easy way for people to snap judge each other. If anything this gave me less desire to try and make friends outside my circle. Thumbs down.
Disappointed
I’ve had a really really hard time making friends through this app :( I really need some mumma friends but I just couldn’t find anyone on here that genuinely wanted the same
Waste of money
This app is a horrible waste of money, no matter where you put your location it still gives you people on the other side of the city and not the people closest to you.
Conversations end after the initial hello.
Save yourself some time and just make some mum friends at a local play spot. You’ll have better luck than with this app.
Good app but doesn’t always work correctly
Maybe if I paid it would work perfectly and maybe that’s the reason it doesn’t work so well on the free version.
You set it to show you people who are around the same stage as you but it still shows everyone. It’s also now only showing me people in Melbourne when I live in Sydney and it’s set to 6km max. No way to change it back to Sydney as it’s already set there! Good concept but needs an update.
Please stop asking people to promote
The incessant promotion of your app by bots on other platforms, e.g. Facebook, has turned me off completely. The concept should be sufficient enough for people to want to try your app without having to see from “promoters” daily: “Hey fellow mums!! I just became a first time mum (wow what an adventure) and I was looking for new mom friends. I've met some amazing local mums on Peanut if you're interested in joining!! There's also tons of forums, chats, support groups, and the best part - meetups and playdates!!!!! Hope to connect 🥰”. The profiles aren’t even local and they’re spamming Mum group pages ad nauseam. Stop the madness!
