Utter trash
This app is trash. It rarely connects and shows the readings, and now it’s just showing the base station as disconnected from the wifi. The station’s wifi light is on though. Owlet recommends deleting and reinstalling the app, which doesn’t improve anything.
Bad app but good product for peace of mind
The sock works well on it own for alerts however the app is utterly terrible . Regularly not reading have to close the app 5 to 10 times to get it to update stats and sometimes it just doesn’t do it at all until hours later.even with the updates I still haven’t seen an improvement . With the amount of money you spend on this product I expected better just glad I didn’t waste the extra money on the camera
Great Quality
The Camera Quality is fantastic however it would be really good to have an option to record video and to have battery back up of video/option to connect via other means not just wifi.
You charge a lot to say you can’t connect it through an iPhone
For the money you charge, it’s painfully inconsistent. Good luck having a user friendly set up if you are one of the majority of the population using an iPhone.
Disappointing App
Whilst the Owlet sock and base plate is fantastic… the app is extremely glitchy and unreliable. For the price of the product I would expect far better. Constantly need to force quit and restart the app, it can take hours for the readings to show up. When an alarm goes off it is very delayed in the app.
Not working with 5G
My sock has stopped working now we are on 5G, will be there an update for the software or is my sock now useless ? Would be very disappointing to have spent so much money and not be able to use it again. Really good product just hope that an update will make it compatable with 5G-!
Very basic app
For an expensive product, this app is incredibly basic and has a lot of problems.
We constantly have to close and re-open the app to see readings and there appears to be a significant lag which really defeats the purpose of the device.
There is no way to change the device’s settings on the app. For example, the info pages suggest that you can edit the range in which an alarm will sound but this actually doesn’t appear possible.
The data logs also report periods of ‘unknown’ heart rate and oxygen saturation which I find concerning - although no alarm is sounding in those periods.
At least once a week, the app will report that the base station is disconnected from wifi (usually at the convenient time of 3am) even though the wifi light remains lit on the physical base station. This requires you to restart the whole device in the middle of the night.
Always offline
Every time my partner and I want to check the camera monitor, we have to force close the app on our phones for it to connect. We have very good internet connection, and we have checked and it’s not this. At least once a week, it also loads to say that the camera is offline. This is not good, as if we hear the baby cry, go to check the camera via the app, it takes at least 2 minutes to connect - which by that stage, we may as well have gone to check the baby ourselves… this happens on 3 different devices, all up to date.
Sock Amazing, App horrendous
I’ve been waiting 10 months for the graphs to be fixed so I’d know what quality of sleep baby is getting but despite several requests and reassurances it would be fixed, it’s still not. The latest bug is the wifi disconnecting when nothing has changed, and me having to add a fake child, reassign the sock, then delete the profile and add the sock back and assign it to my child.
Compared to the app when I first bought and used the sock with another child, it’s pathetic.
App needs an update
Not all features work on the app. If I delete and re-download then I lose all my data on the app🤦🏻♀️ so no point in doing that. Love the sock but the app doesn’t fully work which is disappointing especially with how much the product cost
