Plex: Watch Live TV and Movies

Why is it that when I start a movie from my server, it first starts an advertisement that I don't want, and only then starts my movie. I'm using the paid version and do NOT want or expect ads like YouTube. Please fix it !

Really bad application. Compared to the perfect previous version, nothing is working now.

It was working great until recently - I was able to see my videos and photos from 1 app, quick and easy. Now, Plex app shows just videos and the photos are in a separate app which is total garbage - constant loading, slow as hell, Timeline option never works… And the primary reason I chose Plex was to organize and show my photos, not downloading and watching stupid movies and shows! Bring back the old Plex app or at least transfer the working functionality from it to the Plex Photos app!

Guys, this new app behave like beta app, not like production one! Please return back the old one until this one is ready.

I don't even know where to begin. Watch Together is gone, it's harder than ever to find my personal content, the UX is 10x worse, the new player is broken, the buttons are made for ants, auto-skip credits and intros is impossible, PiP is gone, accessibility is down the drain, EVERYTHING STUTTERS AND LAGS, scrolling is jittery, Cast to Screen doesn't work, all TV Show seasons and episodes are horizontally displayed and you have to scroll for 10mins to find anything, you can't download a whole season or a whole TV show anymore, subtitle styling is broken (font, size and background are all non-iOS default and you can't change them), AppleTV app is horrid, AND SO SO SO SO MUCH MORE IS WRONG WITH THIS UPDATE. WHY THEY WOULD EVER RELEASE IT IN SUCH A STATE IS BEYOND MY WILDEST COMPREHENSION. Rollback or I'm canceling my Plex Pass by the end of April.

Why are photos missing now? All I used Plex for in the last years was my photo folders...

For some reason app crash on IPhone after operating with the app

I got Plex pass to sync content to my mobile or between my Plex instances. It’s painfully slow and you must keep your app open for the duration of it. It doesn’t resume downloads properly as well. It downloaded a fragment of the media but shows it’s fully downloaded. Generally the Plex player, as standalone app or even worse as web app, is really terrible - rendering quality wise. It does the job when I travel and that’s it. Not even close to VLC and far far away from MPC-HC with proper configuration. So main use is the Library catalog. Plex pass allows for skipping the repeating start music of every episode of a series. As nice as this feature is I used it once or twice only as the player is just that bad. There is an option to set of re-encoding content when your bandwidth or resolution are lower. It has the option “Make my CPU hurt”. That makes no sense. You don’t know what is the actual difference between settings, you can re-encode to higher bitrate by hurting your CPU to watch re-encoded the same video quality over higher than original bitrate and with some loss of the re-encoding process. Confirming that you watched something takes 3 actions, select for confirmation, then confirm icon, then additional confirmation dialogue. It’s overkill! You cannot scroll with mouse wheel in the Plex player app. Those and many other small issues makes no sense to seriously consider this tool. It will probably take another decade to make this thing a contender. Use it for free as far as it serves you and don’t bother to pay for Plex pass.
