Plex: Watch Live TV and Movies

The new interface of Plex is really really bad. It used to be so easy and without any bugs. Now the shows I’m watching don’t show up. There are so many bugs my app keeps shutting down. Downloads section has become so bad it’s unusable. My downloaded content doesn’t even play. Anymore. I’ve payed for a years subscription and its worthless. There needs to be a serious revamp of the user interface.

Every time I pause and resume it crashes. Been like this for months. Update a year later: it’s till crashing! New 15 Pro max. Update: now also sometimes locks up the whole phone causing a reboot.

How do I use this? ⚡️ I downloaded app and tried to watch anything ANYTHING!!!! But it said to add to watchlist and I was confused and I tried and tried to work it out, please help!! 🍥🧁

The app works well and has a decent amount of free stuff to watch, but would be so much better if you didn’t have to watch a 3 hour advert every 5 minutes. This ends up causing a 1 hour programme to last nearly a week. You could head out to the football and watch the full match, and then head home and catch the last hour of the advert.

Great for watching tv and films on. More up to date then other streaming sites

Been a Plex lover for a long time now and have absolutely loved its simplicity until now 😳 I fully get apps need to be rewritten with the latest SDK’s to keep up with modern capabilities and features, but I’m sorry to say this is a lot like the Sonos update. On a positive note definitely getting there but the live TV side and the downloads are still a major problem. PLEASE can you bring the DVR section back so I can see my set recordings and priority list.

The Plex iOS app is now wholly unusable. Plex, it seems is desperately attempting to become Pluto TV. If I wanted Pluto TV I would have downloaded Pluto TV. It seems that Plex are intent on losing those using Plex to manage their own personal media libraries. Bring back photo support. First Plex rollout an app update that fails to load beyond some shambles of an introduction that shouldn’t even be needed for a returning user to a familiar app. Around a week later Plex eventually rollout a further update with a fix, which enabled the app to load again, however it now states “looks like you don’t own or have access to any servers”… When I do have a server, and have for years, maintaining four large libraries. This is an absolute shambles of an app update by Plex, how anyone can get this SO wrong is absolutely astounding. I am now urgently seeking an alternative.

Has for ~5 months had an issue which sometimes causes excessive battery drain and makes your device very hot to the touch, they seem uninterested in fixing it. This will shorten the lifespan of your device.
