Polar Flow Reviews

Crappy app

Angie.Bombón on

United Kingdom

It always has issues to connect the sensor. I update the app and every update is even worse. Now it does not recognise my sensor! What’s the point of having a heart rate monitor if I cannot use it because of the crappy app!

Synching frustration

DTHOTMAIL on

United Kingdom

I continually have to unpair my watch to phone on polar flow app, remove the watch from blue tooth connections on the phone then re-pair the watch and phone in flow app to be able to sync activities. This manual process is very frustrating and I intend to return the watch for a full refund and buy a Garmin device instead as they work.

Latest version just loads a black screen…

Recovering from Long Covid with Polar

Kirstie v covid on

United Kingdom

The ability to pace and understand my body is a means to not only gauge my fatigue but see when I increase my limits. Each time I do a little more I feel closer to becoming the person I was before Covid. I would never have thought that this data would lift my mood and show me how to pace….there is a lot more that polar could do to help People like me so I hope they see the benefits of consolidating pacing data

Polar watch

Great all round device. Would be good if one could crop the map for activities when forgot to turn off the recording.

Excellent and easy to use

All the info you could want for ‘free’

This app can track your fitness & recovery (to some extent) from sports even if you just use a HR monitor & smartphone to record your sport. Combine it with a higher end Polar watch and it can track on-going HR, sleep quality through a number of metrics plus have a number of specific tests e.g. orthostatic, SpO2, leg recovery. Based on this, the watch suggests exercises and can take you through them ACCURATELY monitoring HR through a strap. And if outside, it can guide you & record altitude & route. Does Whoop do the last paragraph? No. Is Whoop a smart watch ? No. Does a Polar watch plus free app easily pay for itself within 2 years vs Whoop? Yes.

Polar Flow App

As an ex fitness trainer I find this app very useful easy to use combined with polar HR 10 Gives me all my stats I need works very well with my polar Ignitie 3

Polar Flow app could be so much better

npappuser on

United Kingdom

Probably worthy of three & a half (or even four) stars, but as Polar is meant to be one of the reference hrm systems, the random (will it, won't it ??) bt sync could certainly benefit from a little developer attention and though used with a (Polar Pacer Pro) watch (with/without the H10 chest-strap) I am amazed that none of the logged sessions are time-stamped (was it a cold, morning run or out in the midday sun ??). A fun app but it could be so much better, certainly more useful & perhaps more scientific than it is now.

Unreliable

Mad Scientist57 on

United Kingdom

Crashes regularly since latest update when syncing. When it does work sync takes an absolute age. Edit 28 March: ended up deleting the app for an unrelated reason and after reinstalling it, found that it worked properly again.
