Takes forever to get cash

The app is not intuitive and I haven’t gotten my money in months. Be prepared to be disappointed.

Won’t give me my cash!

I tried to redeem my cash back,(Amazon gift cards). I made a mistake and three of my gift cards did not get redeemed. I contacted Rakuten and explained my situation. They responded and told me they would send the gift card codes in another email. I didn’t get the email I contacted them again and they told me to make sure that they were one of my favourites in my email. I did that I contacted them again to tell them that I changed my email preferences. I got no response. I’ve been emailing them now for the last three days, and they are ignoring me. I checked my Rakuten balance, and all of those gift cards that I need to redeem. Have now been “mysteriously” removed from my account.Be careful! I’ve been continuously emailing them and they have been continuously ignoring my emails.

Where’s the ‘my favorites’ tab???

Bring it back. The app is now so clunky and cumbersome - I really don’t like having to scroll through shops that I have zero interest in or do not offer Canadian shipping at a reasonable cost or limited services. I used to peruse my faves list and shop at the 20+ preferred shops daily but now I can’t be bothered to look each one to see if there’s bonus cash back or tempting deals. Fire who ever convinced you this upgrade was a good idea. It’s terrible!

Can’t Set Favourites Anymore, Awful UX

This new update completely overhauls the UX and it’s one of the worst I’ve ever seen in an app. Too much scrolling and removing the ability to filter down to my favourites has made it largely useless. I used to check Rakuten every week for deals. I’ve made hundreds if not thousands in cash back payments. Often times I’d check to see if I was missing out on a great cashback versus buying directly from my favourite retailers. But now, with how much scrolling and navigating I need to do just to see how much I’m going to get in cash back? I’m gone. Rakuten’s value was the sheer speed at which you could check if you’d be getting a good deal — because of user customizable favourites. Now, it takes too long to find this information out. This new UX might’ve felt good to design but it feels absolutely awful to use.

New format

Not a fan of the redesigned format. I especially miss the quick links to my favourites and top cash back $ deals. It may affect my Rakuten shopping frequency. Perhaps that’s for the best!

Don’t Update the App!!

I wish I had not updated the app to the latest version. Why did they have to ruin something that functioned so well? Maybe I’m missing it, but there is no way to isolate your favourite stores, it’s all just tiles now. It wasn’t broke, but it sure is now. Very disappointed with this new functionality and layout of the app.

Amazon sucks

The Amazon within has given me lots of trouble lately. It would sign me out in the middle of viewing my chat/ shopping and never remembers my login etc. Just overall being extremely unfriendly

Not easy to cash out….they have thousands of reason to reject the cash out request.
