Good, BUT
I prefer the user interface of ReadKit over, say, Reeder BUT I can't recommend ReadKit because there are so many rough edges that obstruct my use daily.
When using an external News Reader Service the Premium restrictions are applied inconsistently: you can add a subscription but you can't assign a category, you cannot edit a subscription, but you can unsubscribe from one. So there's only partial support without Premium, which is not disclosed.
Not as good as the Mac version
I’ve subscribed but mainly for the outstanding Mac version. This iOS version feels limited and sluggish compared to an alternative universal RSS reader. Needs many more customisation options and faster swiping before it becomes my favourite on this platform.
Good app, greedy devs!
Love the app but hate the fact the greedy devs turned it into a subscription based app and piss off all the people who paid for it already. Then to top it all they put a notification in the app I PAID for saying to update to this rip off!
Nice and clean, great first start, needs some features
It’s not often I write reviews, but I’ve been playing with this on the Mac and iPhone, and it’s worked great, cudos for supporting miniflux and making the login process super simple.
However (taking into account this is a new app!) some extra features would be great for me, and potentially others.
- Notifications about new articles, not just badges.
- Widgets.
- Raindrop as a read later service.
Otherwise, great app if your needs are simple, just needs a few extra features and I may ditch my current rss for this.
