It is not working. 😔

I tried connecting this app to my Pocket app and a whole afternoon went by and there wasn’t any indication that it successfully synced. There are also only five options of book readers presented as I was setting up the app: Apple Books isn’t even listed. Call me when the setup process is made easier and there are more apps made compatible with this one.

I don’t normally write app reviews but I’ll make this an exemption. I’ve been using Readwise’s system for a couple of years now, originally through their web system. And when I got to try the beta version of their app, I couldn’t help but be amazed and be thankful that I have had the chance to use it. It organizes and collects all of my highlights from all the books I’ve read (even physical ones) and sends them through a digest. Very clever idea and looking forward to more from the team!

I have been exporting my highlights into Google in order to use their LM. But it has always been glitchy and problematic . Your new AI research feature is a game changer for me as an academic researcher. Thank you, Readwise!!

The service this app provides is unmatched, I’ve looked. I read a ton of books and love to highlight my fav parts and find such joy in reading random highlights every day, chosen for me by the app. My only major complaint is that I doesn’t sync with Libby, my library app. So I have to read my books in Kindle if I want to use this app to its fullest. If they added Libby I’d be set for life!

I’ve used the Readwise app on my iPad for about a year. It seems like every update breaks the app and I have to go through a process to update the app and re-synch my Amazon books with the app. Since the last update, everything stopped working, and even though I’m trying to synchronize Amazon with the app, it’s not working. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling, and that didn’t fix the problem. So I feel like they stole from me, because I paid for a working product that suddenly stopped working for no reason. I’m going to cancel my subscription, which is a shame because when it worked, it was incredibly helpful.

Love this app! Been using it for a few years and love how it helps me to review my highlights from books I’ve read. I was putting highlights in Google doc only to be forever forgotten but no more. Sometimes the highlights hit in the perfect moment of whatever I’m going through in life.

How lucky we are to be in a time when the great writers, researchers, and practitioners throughout history can be encountered in a digital scroll on the phone, a penetrating search at the desk, or on a morning commute.
