Carpe Diem

Readwise has helped me start my day with key questions from my highlights and notes that I subconsciously ponder throughout the day. The interleaving of concepts from different topics that appear in my daily highlights helps me interconnect thoughts syntopically. It’s the social media feed no one else has as I relate with every post yet it brings me to push for the adjacent possible. Makes me think without indulging in a rabbit hole of content consumption

Crashes and corrupts my iPad

Crashes on startup And corrupts the touch screen. Deleting Readwise restored touchscreen function Don’t trust this app

Changes your relationship with reading.

Connectivity with Airr is one of my favourite features, allowing me to keep my podcast quotes in the same place as my book quotes.

Great, but too expensive

It’s a great app, but I can’t justify the cost for functionality. It would probably be worth it if it was combined with a web highlighter, notebook and outliner to help collate quotes and ideas into your own article.

A great way to remember what you’ve read

I get a smile on my face every time a book pops up that I forgot that I’d read. And I’ve learned that I haven’t highlighted that well over the years. My snippets are too small and miss the context. I’m rectifying that. Readwise has become my morning breakfast habit.

Really great, but …

I’m coming to the end of my trial and I really like the app. But, I just can’t justify the cost of the subscription. If it were half the price then I’d definitely find the money to subscribe. Sadly I’ll have to say goodbye in a couple of days when my trial ends.

A great service. The app is fine and does all that it needs to do to support the intent of the Readwise function. A worthwhile subscription that is being supported by incremental methods of adding content for subsequent review.
