My favorite DAW all around!
Since my first use of ZenBeats, it has been the most effective way for me to go from an idea to a song. The fact that it runs on my iPhone, iPad and Mac makes it super flexible. I just wish it would provide hardware integration (like it does with the Verselab) for the MC-101 and MC-707. Good job Roland !
Terrible UI
You guys need to really redesign this app. As someone that owns Roland hardware, this was really disappointing to use.
Amazing and affordable
I was actually quite shocked to learn that this app is only $3US a month to unlock everything. Not only is Roland a household name with quality products I find this DAW less daunting than others to use, especially since there are many tutorials built into the app. I like that I can bring external plugins and use a midi keyboard with very little issues. Thanks Roland! I haven’t written in ages and this was the first time Iv downloaded a DAW and haven’t felt like a complete noob.
Good…… almost.
Interesting concept. Potentially, a lot of fun if you guys focus on making the GUI user friendly. This app needs a lot of refinement in order to be taken seriously. I tried to use my midi controller but midilearn won’t let me map some of the transport controls. For guitar and bass, the samples only map down to low E, which would be fine if this was 20 years ago. You’ve set an unnecessary limitation that’s not appropriate in a digital setting. Like I said, it needs a lot of work before I’ll use it again. At this point, giving you a rating 3 stars is generous.
Better iOS app instruments
if i couLd get instant zen instruments from the Zen App Store on Zenbeats store. Like the Loops and SampLe packs. 808, 909, Jupiter, System 1, etc, etc. Do that. Thanks.
Very good app
I really do not get the Audiobus complaints. This app does everything without needing Audiobus. Why do people want extra complexity for nothing. You can use any audio unit or IAA compatible app so what more do those complainers want. The sound is excellent and the app is fun to use. Of course not everyone will prefer it over every other similar iOS app, but that's life. It's always like that. But I wish I understood the Audiobus complaint. It makes no sense.
This app is cool and fun to use
Lots of complainers around. Listen at this moment the app is free. YOU GET all the stuff for FREE. If you want more stuff then you can buy some loops, other instruments, etc. But, basically you can make music for free. This is very generous from Roland. And people complain. I’m just amazed at how stupidity prevails eveyrwhere. It’s not perfect (the points you have to buy instead of buying directly what you want is unecessary and a bit annoying). As for being a confusing app. That’s a load of crap. All DAWs will present some level of challenge, but with this one you have everything you need if you don’t like to learn by exploring. So stop complaining and download this app and have fun making music with it!

So confusing...
I don’t know how someone can make an app so confusing... jesus, everything is super hard to find, except well you guess it... the online store. Yep, right there you will not miss it. Guess how much for the entire libraries 150 “points”... yep, how much is one point... I have frigging idea, but it 150 are around 200CAD... just call them dollars for god sake, they even failed in that...
