It’s 2023 and this app is still rubbish. As is the radio app. Business should never be semi state as inept arrogance is behind it all. To think we have to pay for this *sigh*

Great app keeping me in touch with the homeland
Enjoy seeing RTÉ as I live abroad and it keeps me in touch with home !!! Great job kerp it up
Crashing often but great to have RTE at home
Unfortunately the app crashes often or it looses connection, you’ll miss half the show due to that but it’s the only way to watch Irish tv in the Netherlands. Hopefully this problem will be fixed soon.

My wife is from Ireland but we live in Holland and this app is great to stay in touch! Via the apple Tv we stream it to our normal tv. 5 stars from us :-). I needed to change to 2 stars as RTE stopped supporting Chromecast on most of their content. It’s a pitty 😢

About time RTE released something like this... It's great for us Expats abroad to have a little bit of home. So far the quality is good.
Awful experience
I mostly use the RTÉ Player to catch the news on my Apple TV. It’s an awful experience. You have to hunt through a clunky menu to find the news. When watching there are endless adds and no ability to easily scrub video when watching a programme, just some awful non-standard UI. Awful awful experience.
Disappointing performance of app
I’ve been trying to watch a series on the TV app, and in every single episode, I’ve been thrown out at some point. I got to episode 6 and this happened again only now it’s not letting me back in at all. Am reduced to watching on my phone. Not one bit impressed

Rye Is good but there is way to many adds like I might get ten ads in on break it’s very laggy and I recommend rte fix it
