The workouts in the plan felt so sporadic and they didn’t make sense for the gym. I was never able to do the supersets because one exercise would be on one type of machine and the next would be something completely across the gym. Also some of the supersets would have you at a cable standing then want you to drop to the floor and have a mat. In a commercial gym I can’t just lay out on the floor in the middle of the cable machine. I feel like the exercises were so over complicated. I was hoping that this app would help me with consistency in the muscle groups I was targeting, but it felt so all over the place. In the plans it just never felt convenient to do if you weren’t in your own private gym.
As far as the programs and seeing results this app is great I have followed Katy for over 10 years and even have the handbook of the first program I bought in 2015! The sesh app is pretty amazing! I did however find the check ins to be a little difficult as far as submitting measurements there’s is a a space to upload your pictures but I didn’t find where I could submit/upload the sheet for the measurements or if it could be something that can be arranged to just fill that information in the app. I also know there is a Facebook group but for people who don’t have fb I think it would be super cool if the chat could be though the app, for navigation purposes it would make things so much more user friendly. Saying all of that I do hope to sign up for the next challenge because I do believe in the method and results if you follow the directions provided by the Sesh team.
This app has changed my life! The app is easy to follow and navigate. This fitness app is beginner friendly and for the advanced. I did the Spring Challenge and the app is so helpful by having videos demonstrating the workout and a written explanation. It helped me feel less insecure in the gym by following the workouts. I also really like that you can log your reps and weight to track your progress. As a busy mom this app has helped me be consistent in the gym. I have seen physical changes and mental changes from using this app and definitely recommend!
I started my first challenge ever when Katy Hearn still had printable PDF’s. I did the first challenge that ever rolled out with the Sesh app and it changed my life, formally known as “Fit By Katy”. This app has changed my life. If you’re wanting a workout program that is easy enough to follow through but hard enough to really challenge you and get you lasting results - this is it. The premium subscription gives you access to all past challenges and a workout generator for those days you just need a quick plan. With challenges, you can do coached or uncoached - giving you an easy check in process. The app has a macro calculator where you can calculate your macros too. And not to mention the support community behind this app - the fb group alone is enough of a reason to get this app!! The support is unwavering and you’ll never feel alone. Intimated by the gym? No problem. The app has a built in “at home” replica of the gym material so you can do solely at home, at gym, or switch it up as needed. Seriously this has everything you could ever need - workouts are geared towards women too so don’t be worried that this is a strict bulking program. You can choose your goal from lose weight, maintain and gain muscle too. Don’t let the pink pretty colors and layout fool you though - this app will get you right! I have used Sesh for awhile now. This app helped me gain back my confidence after my first baby. I am currently gaining my confidence after my second baby. Sesh not only makes you feel better, but also provides an amazing community! I love how the work outs are designed, the app is so easy to work in. This app is very easy to navigate and if you have a hard time committing and being consistent, get this app! Everything’s laid out for you.
I’ve used the SESH app on and off (before it was was rebranded) for years and have loved it! I’ve done two of the challenges and the coaches I’ve worked with are phenomenal! Having a workout plan along with a little extra guidance has helped me achieve my goals!
I was referred by a friend who has been apart of this for sometime now. I’ve struggled with finding programs that worked for me and also enjoying it. I’m about to complete my second challenge and the coaching, resources and structure has given me such amazing results- more than I’ve seen with any other program. The community is the best part!
I just joined Sesh, with the 2024 Spring Challenge. I do love the exercises I was provided and felt that I did gain strength. I also learned some exercises I wouldn’t have know to incorporate before, even though I have been lifting for a few years. This challenge did exactly that - challenged me. As far as the app, the only suggestion I would make is providing examples of alternate exercises in case someone is unable to do what is listed. For example, slide pikes were one of the exercises I can do if I have the correct equipment. However, at my gym we did not have slides and the floor was too grippy to allow slides. Also, when filling information in to calculate macros I was a little confused because of the options of exercise. I exercise daily, but I don’t always get 5k steps due to my sedentary job. So I was unsure of what to put. I do still plant to utilize this app, just trying to figure out what to do next!
