Description

ShutterSnitch is subscription based. With a subscription you get access to all features and updates. The first week is *free* so you can verify that things work with your specific camera or wi-fi card.
Wirelessly transfer images to your iOS device from an Eye-Fi, Transcend Wi-Fi, Toshiba FlashAir, PQI Air, or ez Share card, GoPro HERO, Fujifilm cameras with built-in Wi-Fi, PTP/IP enabled device (such as the Nikon WU / D750 / Z7 or Canon EOS 5D Mark IV / 6D / 70D / M3 / EOS R) or a Canon, Nikon or other filetransmitter that supports uploading to an FTP server over your wireless network.
When a JPEG arrives, ShutterSnitch analyzes shutter speed, aperture, ISO, focal length, and light level and warns you if anything differs from the rules you've set up.
You now have a large preview screen that you can browse, pinch, zoom, and evaluate seconds after snapping your picture.
In a studio environment it's now easy to share shoots with crew and models. More fun and less juggling cards, adapters, and cables!
Please note: A large part of the magic of the wireless delivery lies in the setup of the devices outside of the ShutterSnitch app. For older FTP systems, be prepared to spend more than just a couple of minutes on this initial setup.
Features:
• Works with iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.
• Full Retina & Retina HD display support.
• Crop, straighten, and adjust colors in the sRGB color space (temperature & tint, exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, whites, blacks, clarity, vibrance, and saturation). All edits are non-destructive, so you can always fine-tune or revert to the original photo.
• Advanced metadata editing with presets and Code Replace.
• Slideshow function with Ken Burns effect.
• Arrange your shoots in albums.
• Lock private albums.
• Resize and/or watermark photos before sharing them via e-mail, Dropbox, Flickr, FTP, Google Drive, SmugMug, WebDAV, or Zenfolio.
• Large scale histograms (RGB,R,G,B).
• Visible and/or audible warnings.
• Map integration. Geo-tag JPEG photos automatically or manually.
• Highlight warnings.
• Add a caption and byline to the photos by tapping and holding the currently displayed full image.
• Custom username, password, and port for the built-in FTP and WebDAV servers.
• Receive files directly from one or more Eye-Fi cards.
• Receive photos from your GoPro HERO, Transcend Wi-Fi, Toshiba FlashAir, PQI Air, or ez Share card/adapter as you shoot them or import files from the card manually. *Note for GoPro cameras in burst or time-laps mode*: Photos can only be retrieved once the camera exits the mode.
• Supports receiving and importing photos via PTP/IP. For example from Nikon WU transmitters, D750 / D850 / Z7 / Z9 and Canon EOS 5D Mark IV / 6D / 70D / M3 / EOS R.
• Supports receiving photos from Panasonic cameras that work with their LUMIX LINK app such as the GH3 and GH4. (Not the 'Image App' or 'LUMIX Sync' apps, so DMC-G7 and DC-G9M2 are not supported.)
• Supports Sony α1, α7 IV, α7R IV, and NEX cameras.
• Supports Fujifilm cameras with built-in Wi-Fi such as X100T, X-M1, GFX100, and X-T2.
• Supports Canon PowerShot G16 and other Canon cameras that work with their CameraWindow app.
• AirDrop export.
• Bonjour support for easy discovery in your Bonjour enabled applications.
ShutterSnitch can also be used as a regular image browser if you simply transfer the pictures from your computer through an FTP client.

Must pay a subscription now!!!

Great app but I was very surprised and disappointed to see today that suddenly with no warning you have to pay every month or yearly to use it! I believe I bought that app years ago, pity just like that you have to pay for a subscription now 😡

Best app for mobile photography

NickDoum on

By far this is one of the most useful apps I have ever come across. In my opinion it is indespensible for any serious photographer. I use this on a daily basis and it has made my photography workflow so streamlined and painless, with features not even found in some high end workflow apps. I hope the developer continues to improve this amazing app.

Excellent app and worth the cost

I have a Nikon Coolpix AW130 which is not on the supported list for ShutterSnitch but thought "I'll give it a go." A bit of experimentation got it to work (Check the ShutterSnitch forums where I detailed how) and I think this is the spirit in which to buy this app: If it's not an explicitly supported camera (e.g a Nikon with inbuilt Wi-Fi capabilities but not the WT module models) then plan on playing around; as the developer says, you can get a refund if it doesn't work. He is 100% up front about this too, there's no "bait and switch" going on :) Anyway - how is it as an app to use? Smooth, seamless, intuitive, everything you want. You can tell it's many years of development in and the bug squashing is vigilant. You get a great deal of control on how to organise and share your photos. The big attraction for me is getting them off the camera without any compression, something the Nikon wireless app for example does not allow you to do. Yes it's a little pricier than a 2 dollar cheapie but it actually works well and what it's doing under the hood in terms of setting up its own FTP server is not script kiddie stuff.

excellent!

Long time supporter of SHUTTERSNITCH! looking forward to what you can do with the Watch

So much better than the EyeFi App . .

I got this for half price and i would of paid full for it, if i found it earlier. People talking about not being around a WiFi Network for the Eye-Fi cards are Mad. The Eye-Fi Pro X2 16Gb and all the others create their own Network. Once you take a image on your camera, look for the Eye-Fi Network under WiFi settings on your iPad or iPad Mini and this transfers images in seconds, and now on a Retina iPad Mini, I’m in heaven and so are my client, who can see in real time what i have to offer. The support forums are the way to go if you have a problem. This App does so much more with support for FTP as well, you couldn’t ask for anything more professional to have in your bag of tricks. So if you own a Eye-Fi SDHC card, configure it with the Mac/PC App, and get rid of the iOS App, and you are right to go . . . . . 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Works great, excellent support

Simple to use after wi-fi set up. Good for anyone wanting to simply share pics on social networks to pros wanting to show clients images as they capture them. Or rate your best images and show the hero shots at the end of the photography session. Fantastic support via the developers forum.

This is my first review. This is a great app/tool, there is a bit of working out, but the SS forum has the answers if you have the time. I have this working on my gear w/ or w/o the router.

Perfect tool for the job

If you need to transfer files from a DSLR wirelessly while on the job so the client can art-direct, there's no better tool for the iPad. Works well with an Eye-Fi card.

Just gets better all the time, using it professionally for about 18mths, just great to show clients and art directors Results as it happens.

A great app

I bought ShutterSnitch to allow me to get images to my iPad and then to my iMac. I had a little trouble getting going due to my own misunderstanding. One question on the support forum and I was away. I then wanted to get the images into Lightroom. While you can do it, it was a bit fiddly. Another post on the forum and it's fixed. I now have a seamless workflow from camera to computer. I'm always nervous about support on apps. This couldn't be better.
