Description

ShutterSnitch is subscription based. With a subscription you get access to all features and updates. The first week is *free* so you can verify that things work with your specific camera or wi-fi card.
Wirelessly transfer images to your iOS device from an Eye-Fi, Transcend Wi-Fi, Toshiba FlashAir, PQI Air, or ez Share card, GoPro HERO, Fujifilm cameras with built-in Wi-Fi, PTP/IP enabled device (such as the Nikon WU / D750 / Z7 or Canon EOS 5D Mark IV / 6D / 70D / M3 / EOS R) or a Canon, Nikon or other filetransmitter that supports uploading to an FTP server over your wireless network.
When a JPEG arrives, ShutterSnitch analyzes shutter speed, aperture, ISO, focal length, and light level and warns you if anything differs from the rules you've set up.
You now have a large preview screen that you can browse, pinch, zoom, and evaluate seconds after snapping your picture.
In a studio environment it's now easy to share shoots with crew and models. More fun and less juggling cards, adapters, and cables!
Please note: A large part of the magic of the wireless delivery lies in the setup of the devices outside of the ShutterSnitch app. For older FTP systems, be prepared to spend more than just a couple of minutes on this initial setup.
Features:
• Works with iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.
• Full Retina & Retina HD display support.
• Crop, straighten, and adjust colors in the sRGB color space (temperature & tint, exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, whites, blacks, clarity, vibrance, and saturation). All edits are non-destructive, so you can always fine-tune or revert to the original photo.
• Advanced metadata editing with presets and Code Replace.
• Slideshow function with Ken Burns effect.
• Arrange your shoots in albums.
• Lock private albums.
• Resize and/or watermark photos before sharing them via e-mail, Dropbox, Flickr, FTP, Google Drive, SmugMug, WebDAV, or Zenfolio.
• Large scale histograms (RGB,R,G,B).

• Map integration. Geo-tag JPEG photos automatically or manually.
• Highlight warnings.
• Add a caption and byline to the photos by tapping and holding the currently displayed full image.

• Supports receiving and importing photos via PTP/IP. For example from Nikon WU transmitters, D750 / D850 / Z7 / Z9 and Canon EOS 5D Mark IV / 6D / 70D / M3 / EOS R.
• Supports receiving photos from Panasonic cameras that work with their LUMIX LINK app such as the GH3 and GH4. (Not the 'Image App' or 'LUMIX Sync' apps, so DMC-G7 and DC-G9M2 are not supported.)

ShutterSnitch Reviews

Amazing app for wireless tethering

LowFatMom on

Canada

As a professional photographer, tethering is a must and nothing impress clients more than live photo reviewing on a huge ipad, its incredibly useful. The app have a bunch of really well done features, like a limited mode that removes menu items (beside rating) so the client can’t accidentally change settings, accepting jpegs file only, import actions, etc. The developer is also incredibly helpful, he helped me with a weird bug on my GFX camera and the lasted update fixed it. Totally worth the $4 subscription.

Monthly Fee LOL!

&hhagarff on

Canada

If this app had a one time fee of $10-15 it would be a great deal...but alas greed takes over for infinite monthly payments of $4.00 a month. Sorry, there better out there for your money.

Doesn’t work - DON’T BUY

Jedge23 on

Canada

I bought to transfer photos from my Nikon P600 to my iPhone or iPad without a computer while on vacation. The Nikon app has way too many bugs and challenges. I thought for $36 this one should do better. I can get as far as seeing that my Nikon is connected and then when I go to import photos it only gives me the choice of camera or camera roll which only allows me to use my iPhone camera not access or take photos on my Nikon. I wanted to contact the company before writing this review but there is no support and no way to get refund or help. App support only takes you to a forum which says my account is invalid - contact developer. I Try to contact developer “thebrew” but there is no contact info. Apple won’t deal with issue it just says deal with the app developer. One giant circle.

Best Swiss knife photo app out there

Yogue Daddy on

Canada

This app can do so many things, I don't know where to start. I use it to transfer photos from my Canon Wi-fi enabled DSLR and then print on my DNP printers via FTP or sharing with DNP Print app. Very fast to crop if you buy the image adjustments IAP (which is a must). Overall, one of the most usefull app for a photographer that has to work fast.

Unusable

MaeganTrottier on

Can’t believe I spent $26 after reading this was a must have app to upload photos from my Canon PS Elph. App won’t connect to my camera at all.

Best EyeFi companion

Rok_Doc on

Canada

It took me a while to love this app. I had it and tried it but never figured out a way to include it in my photo workflow. Until I stopped relying on the EyeFi cloud app. Now I just use this one. I usually shot in both raw and JPEG and allow the app to load just the jpegs. Now on the go I can get a bigger image of my shots in the middle of nowhere. And if I keep the jpegs at medium (just enough for an iPad) they load so quick. And when I'm done with that shot and the real raw photos are safe on the PCs I just need to delete the session to dump all the jpegs. Awesome. Love it

Awesome

Great app, amazing features make it the perfect companion for your camera. What makes it worth the price tag is the Developer and their consistent features and maintenance improvements.
