SleepOn FAQ

Is SleepOn legit?
🤔 The SleepOn app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
Hi everyone. I am quite frustrated. I have been wearing the Go2Sleep (fingertip style) for a few months on and off. I was relieved to find a product that could assist in understanding sleep issues. I stopped wearing it because one day I woke and it had burned my finger where the device was on my finger. After being in touch with them and them assuring me it could not be their device that burned me, I tried it again on a different finger. Same thing ... woke up with a burn on my finger! Their response ... "I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to you" -- they had the PERFECT opportunity to say maybe I got a faulty unit and make it right! If that had happened, I would have full respect for the company and I really do believe sometimes in production it is possible for a very rare lemon to be built. Nope! Now I just know that I wasted my money on a company that does not believe a customer and does not care. The irony is they actually have this clause on their webpage: "We may where possible, offer to repair the item. If this is not possible, we will issue a replacement or refund at our discretion. We will not charge you for shipping, but you may be liable for import duties, taxes or brokerage fees due at the time of delivering the replacement item. Please see the Product Warranty booklet in the product branded box to learn more about our Product Warranty Policy." Nor did they say ... "hey we just finished a big holiday promo .. how about we offer you an even better price and you can try the ring style (or whatever!)." NOTHING was offered. And I bought it last July so it is still under warranty -- meaningless!!! Do not buy from Sleepon Health -- they do NOT stand by their product! These photos are not the best as trying to take a photo of your dominant hand with your non-dominant hand is tough! :). I cannot attach here but I did on the Facebook group “SLEEPON Users” But not to worry, it is not really a faulty unit. I just *happened * to wake with a burn on the finger that I wore the Go2Sleep on and it is my fault and purely coincidence. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Laughable to be sure!
The first sleep tracker that stays on all night and is comfortable! Software is reliable
For the price, nothing will beat this.
I don’t like wearing a larger smartwatch or tracker on my wrist while sleeping, and other smart rings seem focused on exercise and not sleep - a much higher price range designed to compete with fitness smartwatches.
The sleep data appears to be reliable when I compare with other tracking sources I use, and it’s nice to have a portable device that’s dedicated to just sleep data.
Has been essential to my experiments as I try to improve my sleep quality over time with things like weighted blankets, nasal dilators, wedge pillows, etc. - without data it would be impossible to know if you’re moving in the right direction.
Going to get more of these for family members.
Save up and buy the Oura instead
Great ideas implemented in the SleepOn device but they fall flat with inaccuracies in tracking.
I use both an Oura ring and the SleepOn. I've tried using the SleepOn as a ring and also the fingertip version. I've contacted their help desk for recommendations and played with many (all?) of the settings. Nothing has helped.
I'll also add that I get a physical checkup multiple times per year with my family doctor, so this is my reference to both devices. I've also had my sleep tracked by the family doctor, using medical devices.
The Oura ring is about double the price but it actually works, so the SleepOn isn't useful since you're paying half price for something inaccurate. Unfortunately, most people wouldn't have anything to reference to, so how would they know?
SleepOn has a fantastic feature for Biological Alarm Clock but unfortunately only gives a range of 20 minutes for this. I actually purchased the SleepOn for this feature specifically. If I knew it was a 20 minute range, I'd never have spent the $110usd to buy this device. With each sleep cycle lasting around 90 minutes, 20 minutes is far too small of a window to wake you "during light sleep". And here is the kicker. This works if, if, if, the device can predict light sleep. It doesn't, so it just vibrates to wake you up. SURPRISE!! I've had nights where I'm lying awake and it won't vibrate. I've had nights where I'm in a deep slumber and then it vibrates me rudely to life.
SleepOn predictably (and wrongly) gives me a sleeping heart rate of around 95bpm each night. LOL. This is closer to my workout heart rate! The Oura ring tracks closer to true at 40bpm.
SleepOn gives my blood oxygen in the high 80s which is also incorrect. Oura tracks closer to true in the high 90s.
So as happens in life. I hoped that I'd found a cost effective tool to add to my biohacking library but instead ended up with a dud. Here's hoping that my mistake can save somebody else a similar loss.
PMD
Great app. Use it every night.
Most accurate of all the sleep “tracker’s “.
Love all the features.
Good alternative to smart watch to monitor sleep
It’s a pretty sleek app with useful readings from the ring. It worked fine for a few days but suddenly I couldn’t login anymore. Customer support took a few days to answer but they resolved the issue and I was able to login again. The data syncs with Health. The aggregated weekly or monthly views show trends and the values come with interpretation guidelines.
Incorrect readings
I know what my basic heart rate and O2 saturation are. The readings are completely inaccurate and I’m so disappointed. I wanted this to really work. I got the fingertips sensor and it’s completely an inaccurate. :(
Everyone should have this device
Sleep apnea is probably as prevalent and detrimental as hypertension. It is also as insidious and requires technology to monitor and analyze. This ring packs a sophisticated sleep lab into a tiny package. Remarkable. In my opinion, they should be routinely distributed to people at medical wellness visits. (I am a physician)
SleepOn App does NOT work
SleepOn App does not work. Tech support does not address issues. Don’t waste your money.
Think twice
Instructions are vague. I have had my unit a week and am not able to get it to work. I’m not sure how it works, but I wish I could call a number and get someone to help me. Apparently that’s not possible.😡
Above expectations
I’m really impressed with this device. It’s very detailed. I get detailed report of REM, light and deep sleep without a membership.
I only wanted a sleep tracker so I sent back Oura ring because I knew I wasn’t going to pay membership year after year and it was just going to end up in jewelry box.
