High pitched sound

uuuuuuuuuu88889899 on

Seem like a great app but can’t sleep because when app working it makes an absolute horrible high pitched sound that makes it impossible to sleep

high pitched Noise

AlphaBlu11 on

Great app, but while tracking there is a really loud high pitched noise(even with the volume all the way down). This makes it impossible for me to sleep

Does no longer work reliably

It used to work smoothly but since beginning of November it rarely records any sleep data.

The free version of this App allows recording and reviewing of one week duration of sleep data but requires to open an account. As soon as one wants to access any other function as e.g. monthly overview or earlier measurements than past week, the app asks to buy the full version. Full version is only an abonnement style thing, thus requires that one pays regularly. The app itself uses ultrasonic sonar to detect movements of respectively under your bed covers. Requirement therefore is, that the cell phone is placed correctly. The ultrasonic frequency is usually inaudible for humans but your pet or your kids might hear it. The echo of this ultrasonic output of your cell phone’s speaker is recorded with the microphone and therefore the device must be active all night long and consumes quite a lot of power. It must be connected to its charger and it is remarkably warmer than it would be without the app running. Not hot, but e.g. 5 deg C warmer than your room temperature. A side effect in my personal set-up was, that my MagSafe for the Lightning connector was burned-out after about 3 months use of this App. The producer of the app promises, that the micropone data is not recorded and not sent to the sleepscore headquarters. But there is no proof by an external independant firm as shown in the example of e.g. *New Threema audit*: "The Lab for IT Security of Münster’s University of Applied Sciences has thoroughly audited the Threema apps. No critical vulnerabilities were found, and the researches gave Threema top grades." As long as no similar proof for SleepScore exists I personally will never use an app in my bedroom with active microphone nor pay for such a service. Hackers may misuse the recorded information and SleepScore will never admit, if they have been hacked. Beside this the app has an overloaded UI and also lacks information on the main screen. This main screen displays moving stars and the actual time but no status bar anymore. You can't find out if the charger is connected successfully, which is very bad if it is not. In this case your phone's accu might be fully drained before the end of the night and the recording of your sleep is anyway screwed-up. In the analysis screen, where you can analyse your sleep, they use a jog-dial to move through the sleep time. The jog dial was successful in the iPod but the implementation in SleepScore is totally different and all usefulness is lost and is simply bad. The thumb, which is used to control the

Useless

A totally counter-intuitive user interface. You wake up in the morning and then better be careful what you are doing: the software will forget or delete what it supposedly recorded. So unless you are terribly careful you will never see a result: it is gone or never taken. And if by chance you have a night sleep result the interpretation support is poor sorry to say this.... all in all useless

Amazing Technology

... how ever the UI looks a bit out dated. It would be nice if the screen would fade to black to prevent screen burn in on an iPhone X

No difference between premium and free?

rtjmom on

United States

This is my third (?) review of this app mainly because there seems to be no other way to contact customer service. I recently decided to upgrade to the premium subscription but honestly see no difference in the information I was getting in the free version. Except that it allows me to access previous week’s data. In the examples it shows access to breathing rate information but mine shows absolutely nothing for this metric. I continue to advocate for a reanalyze sleep option. Sometimes I wake briefly earlier than my alarm but usually always go back to a light sleep before fully waking for the day when my alarm goes off—but I never get credit for that 20-30 mins. The app has good information and analytics but unless a few changes are made, I will go back to the free version

Question

stella-124 on

United States

Hi Developers! I just got this app yesterday and I’ve used it for the first night to track my sleep. I loved everything that came with the app so far with the different modes of being able to see what sleep stage you were in and the alarm was the easiest, I’ve woken up in my life because the app chose to wake me up. When I wasn’t late sleep I liked all of that and the bass features are great. The only issue I had with this app was that I was required to charge my phone in order for it to start tracking me. I am an avid phone battery saver and I know that it is better to not charge your phone overnight, so I was wondering if there would be an option to not have to keep your phone plugged in overnight or if that might be a possibility in the future as I would love to use this app every night, but would not want to deal with charging my phone. Thank you so much. I hope you can fix this for me. Keep up the great work! - stella

Half doesn’t work

Crpettpersonn on

United States

I’ve been using it for 2 nights. The first night it worked fine. But when I when I finished the tracking for the second night it immediately kicked me out of the app. When I got back in to check my data it said “insufficient data from tracker” even though I had been tracking all night just how they told me. This is something you much fix. Or your app is pretty much useless.

Won’t work for me

nic_nac_kitty_kat on

Unfortunately I won’t be able to use this app. The sonar sound is piercing and I can’t handle the sound. I saw that it’s not super common for people to hear it but I guess I’m one of those people. Big bummer :( it’s a really cool idea and way to track sleep but it just won’t be an option for me.
