Barely usable!
I got this so I can have an online appointment system for my mobile dog grooming instead of carrying around a big book. So far it’s given me nothing but trouble. It won’t allow me to fully set up payments because of my ABN. Refusing to associate with my type of business. And then won’t let me check out an appointment if it’s the day after. And it won’t let me change the colours of the services. THEYRE ALL BLUE!?!?!? And it says I can “easily” set up discounts, well easy my bum I can’t figure out how to do it and I’m a techie Gen Z. I have to create an item to create a discount, okay fair… oh but wait it adds more to the sale amount instead of being a discount item. Sure yeah alright. What the hell square!?

Terrible customer service
was charged money from my account without explanation, contacted customer service but was just sent to what seems like an automated chat that was useless, given information that you can all searched up on google ( if i wanted to know information that was all over google i would have search it up instead of waiting in a line for calls only to be sent a automated chat. ) long story short after lots of hassle with the chat finally was able to get a hold of the phone calls, customer service was barely any help as they given the same exact information the bots did, also sounds like she was a bit annoyed to serve the customer needs. was happily using square for over a year now before up untill now.
Doesn’t support small businesses
Unless you want to pay huge fees with little accessibility of the app unless you pay for a subscription than don’t use. Even when you pay for a subscription, they still take huge fees compared to other platforms. And if the customer also uses Afterpay which funnily enough square owns (so you’d think that would benefit us) it doesn’t. They just take even more fees. Most of my checkouts I’m getting charged $45+ in fees, it’s unbelievable.
Become expensive
It’s become so expensive. I just compare to probably mainly competitor fresha and it’s huge difference. No monthly fees, % for car payment much lower
