I’ve been using the square app for about six years now, and I was really happy with it to begin with so many features that were included at no cost. But overtime everything being changed and charged for. You would think that square would like to keep us happy, so we wouldn’t go anywhere else since they are collecting a percentage from every cell we make. Just my opinion.
I don’t know how to work this thing
I have been struggling on how to just make appointments for people to book and then I send a link on my story then my book it. It’ll be so much easier for my service please and thank you! Overall it’s a good app. Also idk if it’ll go straight to my cash app account it says that it isn’t available but then I saw on the app before I got it saying it accepts cash app so why doesn’t it allow me to use my cash app as my bank account?
Square Is Working For Me…..
I’ve been using square appointments for my massage business since Fall 2022, and knock on wood, I have not had any issues. The desktop version and app version have been easy to navigate to look at my schedule, see it might be slow, and then easily send an email or text notifying my customers of appointment openings or special discounts. Square Appointments has really been easy to navigate for me, who is someone who wants smooth and simplified!

Best scheduling app for small business.
For a year, all freezes constantly
It deserves a zero. Just use the desktop version which almost never has issues. The app opens and freezes within 3 seconds. Occasionally, you can click on something before it freezes then it renders the app unusable. Closing and restarting doesn’t work, uninstalling and reinstalling doesn’t work, closing your phone screen and reopening doesn’t work. I’ve been attempting to use it for the company I work at for a year and every other employee is having the same issue with the app, but not the desktop version of Appointments. Also Appointments doesn’t integrate/communicate in many ways with Square’s other aspects and when features/debugs are requested, Square Appointments says they’ll look into it and then never return your communications. Try doing a quick search and you’ll see that simple feature requests have been asked by hundreds of customers for years (for instance the ability to mark an appointment as paid through invoice) and Appointments has not added them to the system after YEARS of requests. Kinda a bummer.

My business has been using this app for 5 1/2 years. For the most part it flows with the exception of their report generating system. I do my own payroll and rely on accurate numbers. On numerous occasions the feature that allows you to generate specific detailed reports for each staff sales is off causing extra work for me. I depend on this system to make things easier and it has done the opposite. Initially it worked amazingly and I was elated, however now I have to double check everything. I have reached out to cust service and 3 times a dead end was reached. They only communicate through email after a “ticket” is created which, in my opinion, defeats the purpose of customer service because it is 2 dimensional. Today I reached out again and the same approach was taken. Bouncing from one dept to the other. I am considering changing to another scheduling system. A real shame. Your beginning was stellar.
