Bad for business
I operate an STR mostly with booking.com. I did an instant payout of 350cad and the next hour, stripe put my account on hold for me provide further documentation for my business, immediately I did that i got a message that my account will be close and they weren’t refunding my balance 1450 in my account. This is ridiculous and wicked to customers. I won’t recommend stripe, it sucks !!!

Super high fees
We have stopped accepting stripe as of today. They charge ridiculous fees. Small businesses should not even think about using this. It’s ridiculous how these companies can get away with squeezing the life blood out of small business. Shame on you.
Good mobile payment option
It’s a good option for receiving payment but 5% on every transaction is excessive. A monthly subscription is a more sensible option. I personally won’t use this as my primary payment receiving option as I have issues with 5% transaction fee.
Won’t pay me out
They won’t pay out the funds in my account. I have followed the verification criteria perfectly and have had customer support say they are taking it to an actual person. A week later, no responses and my money is sitting in my stripe account and they won’t send to my bank. I have been using wepay flawlessly for ten years with no issues. FreshBooks moves to stripe and I can’t get my net out now. One star. I’d give zero stars if I could. Beware of these bandits taking their fees and not providing a service even though you are a fully legit business with documents and years of records to prove it. Lame

Lost 3 disputes even with customer confirmation of goods receipt. Stripe won’t have your back in any way, shape or form. Use a different payment processor
Very disappointing
They are closing my account in mid April because I sell used clothing. Better yet, I’ll delete it and go with someone else. They obviously don’t want my business.
Overall rating is very good
The only downside is that credit card authorization settings are complicated.

They’ve asked for the exact same info from 7 different employees all of which are the exact same matching name, beginning to think these guys are selling my info or scamming me somehow
