this app is all you need to manage your passwords
Love this app. Use it on all my devices daily.
This is one of those AppStore gems that makes iPhone useful after all. I mean like it’s the most convenient yet flexible password manager on the whole platform, literally don’t know how I could lived without it. UPD: These folks keeps adding new features on and on. And each of it is a pure bless in terms of UX.
In my opinion one of the best on the App Store. It is open source (absolutely vital for establishing trust) and works smoothly, providing essential and advanced functionality (Yubikey, Key files). The app also does not contain any of the nasty trackers found in so many other rivals. The developer is very nice and responsive, and the asking price is fair. It is worth mentioning that Michael Bazzell uses and recommends it. Update: Subtracting a star after it has become obvious that the application is NOT open source, and the developer has more or less used the "open source" moniker misleadingly. Enough for me to move on. Shame.
Small company where the support is present and was helpful. Sam & Mark seem like good guys, I wish more of my apps were like Strongbox.
Strongbox is the best open-source and local storage password manager I’ve used. It requires a bit more technical expertise, but it’s reliable, secure, and straightforward. No complaints after years of use!
This is one of the few that lets you manage your passwords your way. Dont’t want the cloud, cool you can store on your device or server. It does just about everything. Note that the software isn’t as pretty as others like 1Passwprd, nor as polished. For example, the desktop the app doesn’t honor MacOS window conventions so no way to hide the app window. Exellent philopshy with a lot of promise.
I've tried a few different password managers, and Strongbox is definitely the best one I've used! I've been using Strongbox for over a year and it has never failed me. Strongbox handles all my passwords without glitching and syncs effortlessly across my devices. I also really like how it auto-generates human-readable passwords (instead of random strings of letters/numbers/symbols), which relieves me from the burden of creativity when making new accounts. And I most appreciate Strongbox's dedication to security, which gives me great peace of mind.
