Fantastic option for 1password refugee

Strongbox is my daily password manager. Great design with the right balance of power and usability. Crucially, I own the data. It uses an open format and I can stroke and sync the data any way I want which is vital for such a sensitive use case. Highly recommended for anyone who misses ownership and autonomy from the large password services and apps.

Excellent password manager

I've relied on Strongbox for 5 years now to keep my passwords, PINs and credit card details safe. In that time I've seen first hand the developers hard work and commitment to making Strongbox extremely secure and trustworthy with regular updates and adding truly useful features such as auditing passwords, offline editing, Face ID unlock and autofill integration to name just a few. Unlike most other password managers, strongbox lets you decide exactly where your passwords are stored using either your preferred cloud storage, NAS, your own server or keep them locally on your devices. Transfers can be done over AirDrop, WiFi, email or USB. If you have existing Keepass or PasswordSafe database files they can be opened immediately in strongbox and the website gives step by step instructions for importing other database formats as well as guides for using Strongbox which are handy for new users. There's really nothing not to like about Strongbox, I don't know what I'd do without it.

Best KeePass browser out there!

Don’t trial it, just buy it. I rarely buy anything but this is 100% worth it. It just works and it connects to just about any cloud storage you could want.

The Ultimate Password Manager

Very well designed, great UX, clearly designed and built by good developers who understand security. I was skeptical of password managers but the fact that you own your own database and the developers provide a frontend and sync mechanism is just perfect. This is what everyone should be using, and everyone should be buying a subscription to keep it going forever!

Good work

It is bit annoying that every time you trigger the auto-fill, you need text the master password again. Also, the OTP for proton (proton mail/protonvpn) is not generated correctly with the same entry compared to KeePassXC and Google Authenticator.

Best KeePass app available!

This app is brilliant and been using it for many months, works flawlessly, they are constantly updating and keeping the app full of features. Would recommend to anyone that wants secure, iOS, iPadOS and macOS access to KeePass vaults!

Been using this app for 3 months and works really well on iOS.

Feeling Good So Far

I’ve been on. 10 year journey, passing through LastPass, 1Password, BitWarden and now StrongBox. So far so good, the GUI is good, iPhone and MacOS integration is good. Sharing a database with family is good. I’m going to rest here a while.
