This app could be a whole lot better. It frequently bombs and demands a new setup… and tonight’s forced update before it will work means I am still waiting for its crawling slow download before I can close my blinds. Really the developers can do better.
I find the app clunky and unintuitive.
Some things on the app could be better. Or maybe Somfy can provide better training videos for new users.
I didn’t find the set up straight forward, my blinds are set up as shutters but I don’t think it makes any difference. It would be useful to be able to select several blinds to open at once but I only have the option of all or one.
The only reason I used the old app was for the geolocation. Press a button, let the app know I’m on my way home and my garage door would open. The new and “improved” app doesn’t allow this or have this functionality. So, a waste of time and money on the installation. Cheers
This is an excellent product which works very well. It was very easy to set up and the app is very easy to use as well. For the quality of this product the price is great. I like the fact that with the app and the connectivity kit you have the ability to open and close your garage door from anywhere as long as you have access to the TaHoma by Somfy app.

Decent all around but you have no timer or proximity alert opening options (unless im missing them). Quite basic app and service
I actually love my TaHoma, but I wish it wouldn’t disconnect all the time. It’s in the same room as the WiFi router. Yet it still disconnects at least once a week. The app reports the issue, so much so I’ve now turned off notifications.
Relatively simple to set up, easy to understand. Found the daybreak and sunrise automatic blind shutting setting very helpful when going on holiday. Also useful having a second option for controlling blinds if the remote goes missing or stops working unexpectedly.
