Description

Taskheat brings a sense of flow to your to-do lists. Break down your projects into small tasks and define their dependencies. You can progress toward your goals by focusing on the steps under your control in a resulting flowchart.

It's a powerful and handy task management app to burn through your tangles of to-dos and projects.

Use Taskheat to:

• Track the relations between your to-dos.
Think of your to-dos as a link in a chain. It's a building block that forms a flow of small or achievable duties.
Each task can have multiple dependencies or can enable or block others.

• Get things done when you're there.
The list of your actual tasks may update depending on your location. Suppose you can perform a specific task in a particular place. In that case, it will appear in your actual list only if you are in that spot.

• Track tasks delegated to third parties.
Suppose there's a responsibility currently out of your control or in the hands of another person. In that case, Taskheat will not include those duties in the list of actual tasks.

• Assign due dates and receive notifications.
Taskheat will notify you when any of your tasks are due soon, so you'll never forget to get things done on time.

• Manage regular duties.
There are many examples of repeating tasks that you need to perform regularly. Define the recurrence rule to reflect that in your agenda.

• Color code and tag your tasks.
Assign meaningful colors to make it easier to scan your workflow for a specific group of duties visually or filter them by tags.

• See your actual tasks in a handy widget.
The minimalistic widget allows you to see your plan at a glance without opening the app.

• Stay productive wherever you go.
Taskheat uses iCloud to synchronize your projects between your Mac, iPhone, or iPad. You can pick up the latest version of your task flow on any device.

You can download and try Taskheat for free for two weeks. After that, you can either purchase a full version or access your data in a read-only mode. It is a single purchase for all devices and NOT a subscription.

Our team continuously improves Taskheat to make it even better. Feel free to reach us at [email protected] and on Twitter (@taskheat). Share your feedback or ask any questions. We are always happy to assist you.

Stay tuned and good luck reaching your accomplishments!

Caveat Emptor

RCB1960 on

I had a lot of hope for Taskheat, but it is current unusable. The version 1.8.7 (464) is crashing when just moving between projects and I have had just too many instability issues with this app since I purchased it. When I first tried Taskheat a little over a month ago I found and reported a number of UI bugs and the crashes. Eyen support responded quickly saying that my crashes were likely due a database corruption and that they were investigating but there has been no follow since, but there have been two updates. Instability issues aside, I also have a number of functionality or design issues with Taskheat on the Mac. In terms of task organization, Taskheat arbitrarily organizes tasks if they are not linked to other tasks. The order seems to be the task creation order. Once entered there is no way to prioritize or organize individual unrelated tasks, other than creating artificial link dependencies. If that the design intent, it then makes it more difficult than necessary to re-prioritize independent tasks. In terms of the Flowchart, the user has absolutely no control over the task layout. While the flowchart auto layout is cute, it all too often organizes the tasks in an unintuitive or a very linear way. Adding or manipulating tasks results instantly in a layout update and these constant auto layout changes makes it difficult to visualize and work with your project when you are making edits. The flowchart layout also changes dramatically when Show Completed is toggled on/off. Personally, I'd love the capability to turn off the auto layout and just let the user create the flowchart view they want. I realize that Taskheat is both a mobile and Mac app, and maybe this functionality works better on a mobile device, but I find the functionality as implemented frustrating when trying to work with the app on the Mac.

Interesting

It's an interesting tool so far but it seems to be missing some features, for example to visualize the lists better: Right now they just all pile up together, not by section or column but by row. I didn't figure out how I can change that order when I create the charts, the arrows tend to move downwards but the lists will use the rows of tasks anyway. Some of those charts in the screenshots look nice but mine don't seem to place themselves differently this way. I would love also being able to have them organized under each section title and 1. 2. 3. so that the order and dependencies aren't missed in the list view.

Good, almost there...

This is a review of the mac version. I like the concept of this app. However, unless I'm missing something, it seems that this is a bottom-up type flowchart where tasks that are created as "depends" always move to top of the flowchart. I'd prefer a top-down approach where parent tasks are above child (dependent) tasks. An option to switch this (along with arrow directions) would be appreciated. It's worth noting I can actually create a top-down flowchart as it is now, however, if I mark a lower task as complete, then it means the task above it needs to be completed as well which is a dealbreaker. I would also like to be able to drag arrows from one task to another to create relationships instead of having to use the " " button from the Flowchart page. This also means I can't create a new relationship for a task if it is a stand-alone task from the Flowchart page. And, tags... I think it would make sense to default a "depends" task with the tags of the parent task rather than being empty. And it should be possible to change the tag color from the Tags side menu in addition to the toolbar (once the tag is selected). Finally, being able to change the icon of the Project using an icon selector would be good too.

Perfect task manager, but…

I love Taskheat so much and use it every day to organize my tasks and projects but in the iPad version, the search bar isn’t fitting in the screen. This is issue was present in the last versions and I hopped it will get fixed with an update but it isn’t resolved yet. I think it’s just a small ui bug, but It’s a little bit annoying. I’m still giving this app 5 stars because the concept is out of this world but hopping the issue will get fixed.

Great app!

I have used a lot of flowcharts in the past so using this program feels intuitive for me. The UI is clean and feels nice to work in. I am a big fan.

Great Concept

Like the program but it crashes way too much.

Very Interesting App

Str793 on

Excellent concept, no user support and seemingly missing basic mapping / charting functions that would make the app awesome. Namely, the ability to rearrange tasks in flow chart or list view.

Very good, could benefit from some customization options

Big Bird Below The Belt on

Very good for writing down my new ideas and inventions! Wish i was able to drag the 'Task' if I want to chnage the look or layout. Some customization improvements would be good for the Aop

Very good app, but missing some things

conundrum on

This is a really good app. But like others have said, a tutorial would be nice. After a lot of playing, I have finally have figured out a lot of what I need. But it is still a little buggy. For example, when I open a very large flowchart, I get a blank screen until I change the view magnification. More colours and some formatting options would be really nice. And some way of changing the layout would be appreciated. But overall, a valuable tool for my work. It has become my go to for work flow/mind mapping.

Good idea

It would have make more sense if the taskes would skync with my calender.
