I’ve just downloaded the new App and I must say I love it: UX is beautiful, I love the graphics, fonts and overall experience... only complaint I have is that it still lacks a Search function which is a pity given that it’s available on the web site and it’s the only way to access to the outstanding archive
I paid a print subscription and it does not work. It used to work long ago. Now it doesn't anymore. Fix it or do not complain for the death of journalism.
The new version of the app is terrible, please go back to the previous one. It gave me great pleasure reading articles as if they were on paper, by going through the pages, the new version removed the pages and introduced infinite scrolling instead. Now reading the article feels just like any other reading experience on the web, it feels less authentic.
It's too slow on the ipad 4. incredibly. Works bad with proxies. Hope the developers do something with it, otherwise it's a lost experience and money... Especially for such a great magazine!
I’ve loved The Atlantic app for so long. You removed saved articles from the navigation and added extra steps to save and view them. Why the added steps? This is a step in the wrong direction. Please go back to how it was. Frustrations like this lead people to consider unsubscribing.
I have to delete and re-install the app at least once every few months in order to access content. It shouldn’t be this hard to get the app to work correctly.
The Atlantic itself is great but every other day the app had me sign up again which did not work. Deleting and reinstalling did but after ten or so times of this hassle I gave up and canceled. Too bad!
Latest update made it more difficult to save and view saved articles. I don’t need or want audio content; I subscribed to a print journal because I want to read the pieces not listen to them. So prioritizing that at the bottom of the screen instead of the saved articles feature is useless, and makes it more likely that I will read less, or just unsubscribe.
The app has logged me out and will not log me back in. I've canceled it now.
They truly do not allow you to cancel your subscription. The number simply hangs up “no agents are available, call back later.” They don’t respond to your numerous emails to their account help account. There’s no way to simply cancel in the app. Prepare to spend an increasingly sizeable sum every year with no escape, even if their content takes an unappealing turn that leaves you wanting out.
