Needs an update
Bit of a clunky interface for tracking. Very basic. Really only useful for someone tracking you via cellular from afar. Would be good to have a new trip function. You get a thousand way points overlapping from past journeys if you don’t clear them manually. Some connectivity to my account so you can manage messages without using the website would be an improvement too. It’s a $300AUD per year subscription for the service which from an emergency perspective is a small insurance but a bit more investment in the computer based interface to bring it up to the times with other gps providers will keep me from looking to other safety systems.

not as useful as I thought
really like the idea but it fails for me as the reception in my 4x4 with window mount often fails (iPad GPS have no problems) and the unit then switches itself off. lost and recovered the Spot 3 twice as I need to put it on the bonnet to get initial reception it will not initialise on the windscreen
