The Times (ROW Legacy) Reviews
App no longer works
After happily using this app for many years with no issues I now find it no longer works; have reset iPad and downloaded app 3 times but no change. App simply starts to open and the closes itself. If this was due to the recent APp upgrade I am not impressed!
too expensive
All news schould be free of charge.
Bug
Iphone X, newest system software: crash just after opening the app.
Really Buggy in IOS
Comments section often does not appear and now the app crashes after 20 secs of opening. Leaving this review while reinstalling the app.
News to trust
Having read a variety of news sources, bias is always apparent. The Times, in my opinion, has the ability to provide detailed & accurate reporting without bias and is therefore worth paying for.
Smooth news
As a software engineer I can appreciate more than most when a piece of software works smoothly and efficiently. The Times apps does so brilliantly. Never had one issue with it and the developers and testers deserve a pay rise. I don’t work for The Times before you ask :)
The best newspaper app
I have used The Times app on my iPad for a few years and absolutely love it. I live in Switzerland where traditional newspapers are very expensive and the app is even better than traditional newspapers in my opinion. The photographs are amazing and it’s incredibly easy to navigate between articles. I do the crossword and sudoku on the app. Recently I purchased the app for my iPhone and it’s also excellent. I can’t rate it highly enough and everyone I’ve recommended it to is thrilled!
The Times
Truly Brilliant
I was not a Times reader before, always Daily Mail, but this app has changed everything. I love it. Most days I read it from cover to cover, if you know what I mean, and do the crossword. The pictures are stunning, the quality great. I live and work in Switzerland. So having a daily newspaper is an expensive luxury. The Times app is definitely not expensive and worth every penny. You will be stunned at the interactive mind games especially the crosswords.
Horrible app
I have never been able to view comments on the app. It’s pathetic. My app version is the live version, not classic, and I’m using the latest iOS version. This should have been fixed years ago. There have been comments on Reddit and the Apple App Store for years yet the ToL refuses to fix the problems. I’ve cancelled my subscription because of it. Why should I pay for an app I can’t fully use?
