New Google Calendar Integration is Awful - Please restore previous functionality

warringsoul on

Canada

I loved Todoist, I run my life on it. The updated Google calendar integration has destroyed my entire organizational system and it won’t let me go back. Now calendar items show up as these tiny one line things that you can’t see in the app, it opens up Google Calendar instead. You can’t add subtasks to the calendar events so I no longer have my personal meeting talking points connected to my meetings. AND calendar items don’t appear in searches so I can’t find any of the meetings without opening both Todoist and Google Calendar. I also can’t check off when meetings are done so they never go away. To top it all off I can’t change the look of my events section so now there’s always this ugly section staring at me each time I look at the app. Now my day is never finished and the flow is completely broken! Why did you destroy the most helpful Todoist integration and make everything ugly and frustrating to use? I’m going to have to make a second task for each calendar events now so I can add my subtasks to it. This is making everything less efficient not easier!

Watch app doesn’t work

Milad the First on

App is amazing and has everything that I need but after the last update, the Apple Watch app doesn’t work. My Apple Watch is Apple Watch 10 and the app worked perfectly before this update. Please fix this.

Google calendar sync is worse

Ankush Laxmeshwar on

Canada

We use the Google calendar sync to todoist to convert events into tasks which can be shared within the family and checked off. The new integration which HAS to be used does not have this feature and it breaks our entire workflow. Their solution is third party tools like zapier which I honestly do not want to sit and configure. I'll be looking at alternatives to todoist.

Program is great, APP is awful!!

Becausetheappsucksnow on

Im a mortgage broker. My admin and I have been using this program for two years or more. It’s a great program. Customer service is very helpful. The APP NEEDS to be fixed. It constantly shuts down as I’m in the middle of writing a comment. It’s so frustrating. I’ve tried updating the app, deleting it and reinstalling it. It’s never worked. It’s very frustrating because when I’m on the road meeting clients, o need to be able to use this program from my phone. Please fix the APP

Perfect for a scattered mind!

Love love love this app. It’s so easy and quick to add tasks/ appointments for any time in the future. You just type “Dr apt 1pm July 30.” And it will be saved and added automatically to that day’s to-do list. You can set to repeat a task as often as needed (therapy every monday at 3:30) so you don’t need to be constantly be adding it in each week. I even add things I don’t have to do but might like to do such as “Free swim at community centre every Tuesday at 5” Highly recommend!

Not that great and no free trial

Figured out I didn’t like it with Pro features in 5 mins but no free trial so it was an expensive test. Avoid.

This app is my safety net and my personal assistant. I’m so much more productive and feel some peace of mind by using it.
