The past three days the device was loosing net work connection for hours. I had it for several years and no issues till now. I have documented where my cat is with me by our house with plenty of cellular service signal and no obstructions and receiving No Network Connection. I’m paying for service that is very unreliable, and in this instance useless. It seems I have to find a different company that provides a dependable reliable service.
We absolutely love our Tractive device! I love knowing my boy is save and am able to track him whenever I need to, as well as the updates if anything is unusually for him. I definitely recommend this to anyone!
The one star rating is for the excruciatingly painful process to cancel the subscription. (And, for the poor website and app service.) Had I known it would be this difficult to cancel online, I would have lied on the question that asks “why do you want to cancel?” and selected “my pet died.” It seems that is the only way to cancel without having to speak with a rep to have it cancelled (where I suspect I’ll be forced to go through a litany of questions.) If you build a platform that seemingly makes it impossible to cancel, that’s predatory.
I’ve had Tractive coming on 2 years. The last year this device has sucked at location accuracy, timing and location. I’m sure there are better tracking devices out there. I live next to an elementary school and hospital (not in a rural area) and this device fails to track my pet or is almost 20 minutes behind.
Tried to do the subscript but tried to take all at once. My bank literally texted me with a fraud warning. Complete disapointment.
This app and tracker are amazing! However there are a few thins that could be added to make it 5 starts. The walk recording feature is very good but there is no opportunity to go back and edit/trim the walk or add comments to specifics on the walk (kind of how Strava or other activity trackers work) this would really be helpful as I have sometimes forgotten to stop the walk recording and there are 10 extra mins that don’t need to be there. This would also help with the accuracy of the fitness tracking. The user interface is great and the product works as described.
We love our Tractive and gives us peace of mind with our dog but we purchase the mid product as our dog is active but not our in the bush everyday all day, mostly in town. But we’ve only had it for 5 winter months (mostly just short walks and indoors) and our rubber clip has clipped off various times and ripped. They did send us free clip replacements which was great but now we didn’t realize it had fallen off our dog while being somewhere so we left with out it. She wasn’t in the bush or playing with another dog. Just disappointed in that aspect of the product. Hope they can find another clip that won’t come off often or easily as we rely on this product for the safety of our dog!
We got the mini for our cat, he’s a big cat and the mini is the perfect size, does even know it’s on him. App is unbelievable. You won’t regret buying this.
I was surprised how accurate the tracker is. My little Chihuahua is an escape artist, and it gives me great peace of mind, knowing if he gets out, I can find him easily and swiftly. It seems to hold a battery charge for a long time as well. Tammy is only 8 pounds and he doesn’t seem to mind wearing it.
We have a hunter that will stay out 12-18 hours a day and live on one of the Gulf islands in BC , owls everywhere!! So to go get him before sundown is a major stress relief! So far he doesn’t run when I track him… thanks ! PS - Make a better tracker holder!!they don’t last long enough! 😊
