Set back off the main township this is a restaurant that is well worth a visit of two. The meals are ample! Beautifully presented and fresh. Service is quick and staff are very pleasant. Beautiful setting.
Flawless organization from everything we did in Vietnam
We felt so lucky to have found this brand new hotel in the heart of the Old Quarter. The bed & pillows were so comfortable and the staff went above and beyond to help us book travel options with further trips. They upgraded us free of charge and also gave us the option of a further room change if the traffic noise proved too noisy. Would HIGHLY recommend staying here if you’re looking for a place in the Old Quarter and great value for money.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay . The resort is opulent and the staff are even more generous with their kindness and attention. Excellent location clean beach, nice plush rooms well stocked even with safety razors and tooth paste and brush. So many pools and all well maintained. Beach is very clean and you can spend all day if you want just watching the water and passers-by and ordering your favourite drinks , if you want to just relax.
Lovely place to stay. Good bed, room, kitchenette and bathroom to cover all our needs. We were in a unit that had a little bubbling pond outside with natives shrouding us in privacy. A great place to stay!
Always great advice and ratings
Wonderful experience. The trek was tough, but our guide altered the pace and helped me on tricky parts. Elephants seemed content, and their Mahuts told us what each elephants personality was like. I wonder if they might in time become over enthusiastic with getting to the bananas. Because I got nudged off a log when no banana could be found!!
The Marriott Mena in Cairo Egypt 🇪🇬 is a must stay resort in a person’s life time if you’re ever visiting Egypt. Forget the mighty Pyramids just for now and look at this famous hotel and it’s history. It’s unfair to judge this place and compare it’s history and it famous people who have stayed here in the past… it’s glory days, when it was new and fresh or when it was re-renovated and updated. The Marriott Mena Hotel is still a breathtaking resort to stay at, and the sight of beautiful, gardens, space and design gives this spectacular hotel in Egypts its 5star rating from it’s history. It has stood the test of times, wars, depression, economic unrest and many more, yet, it’s still here. Sure it’s bit tired on the edges, it could do with a fresh coat of paint and perhaps it doesn’t stand up to the new more modern hotels of Dubai or Vegas or Hong Kong, but it’s here, entertaining thousands of peoples every year. This is my first time stay here with my wife and our two adult children, and we were impressed with the place. It’s setting is nothing short of something you’ll see in a movie with a backdrop of the famous pyramid at your feet while dining or having a beautiful sunny day lunch.. The overall staff were so attentive and friendly, The main restaurant for breakfast and lunch, plus dinner was managed and organised by their senior staff and their management team… The a’la cate menu was a little on the simple side, but covered most tastebuds and was fair, but the buffet for dinner was exceptional.. The chefs were very accommodating and came out to chat and made themselves available to their clients, which was a nice touch. The facilities were lovely, especially the big pool and it’s surrounding, the VIP bar was a little isolated from the rest of the paying clients and the there were other food options too. But, again you had to see it to believe it, across the road were these amazing landscapes of structure of history overlooking the hotel.. Simply breathtaking and amazing. All in all, I believe regardless of a few maintenance issues around the edges, a few wow factors dishes in the menu and a sprite of energy, I still rated this hotel, regardless if it’s famous reputation and past famous clients of years gone by… I still rate it a 5 star hotel. November is a great time of year to take this seven day trip - the weather was perfect, the countryside green and the rhododendrons and azaleas in magnificent bloom. The five high country stations (and one low country farm) were spectacular and interesting, with friendly and informative hosts. Our accommodation was good, and the food superb. Graeme, our driver and guide, looked after us well and enlightened us on the geology of the area. Highly recommended.
