Honestly I don’t know why this app is so underrated I personally thing it’s a great app it’s simple to use and gets the job done. I’m not a writer but I do like to write in it as a sort of “journal” sometimes and it’s great for that. Id really recommend it:)

After a while of searching through the darkest pits of the Appstore (on a hunt for a decent note-taking app), I found Werdsmith. Since I had began to enter terrible app territory, I wasn't expecting much, but I adore this app. While the choice IS presented, upgrading isn't necessary. It's great to be able to separate ideas and large projects. The interface is appealing to the eye, the features aren't very limited when used unpaid, and the notifications really inspire me to keep on top of my writing. Great app!
Got the app and signed up for the subscription. Initially pleased - pleasant typeface, cool widget to show the daily word count, nice app layout. Then at a certain point in typing, my novel projects would just stop working and shut the app down. I wouldn't be able to work on my story at all because everytime I tried to type it would kick me off and leave me back where I started. Contacted support about it four times - no change, no reply to indicate they noticed or cared about this pretty fundamental problem in a writing app. Not planning on keeping up subscription (which already seemed expensive for what you were getting) unless something dramatic changes in the next week or two.
A nice little app that keeps you motivated to stay writing until you hit that word count. Some basic things this app needs is different fonts and page breaks; without them the writing experience just feels like the the user is writing in a note taking app.
Great app, happy to support it. Would like it if you could increase the word limit and add some more tools. A good app for writers with none of those ads that pop up on other ones annoyingly. Or sidebars that take up 3/4 of the page. Perfect.
