Bad experience! Thousands of calls from Yelp to offer upgrade but nothing from customers Scam this page

Yelp should be forbidden. Do yourself a favour as a business owner and NEVER use it. It is based on algorithms that sort reviews by its criteria, disposes the good ones leaving mostly the bad ones. On top of that you CAN'T remove or completely delete your account EVEN if you have closed the business or moved to another location. Appaling platform and business policy. Would rate -100 if I could.

Once you create an account and add your credit card number, you may never delete it. Neither you NOR Yelp can delete your account or remove your CC info. Absolute scam, especially for small businesses. They’ve charged me over 70$, finally got a refund (after spending 30$ of international call fees just to get a hold of them), ONLY FOR THEM TO CHARGE ME THAT AMOUNT AGAIN on the same day as the “refund”. This has been ongoing for 3 weeks, and I feel completely hostile and cornered with Yelp Biz. Worst mistake ever opening an account with them, and was completely useless. They are so difficult to get a hold of and keep going against their word. Zero trust, zero recommendations, zero stars. Side note for the app itself: Over 6k “impressions” in 4 weeks and not one lead… I’m in one of the busiest cities in Canada. Complete scam from start to finish.

A while back Yelp approached me to offer paid advertising of my business through their site. They offered a $350 free bonus to start, and then paid per click and per month after that. I got zero leads. I advertised my business last night on Facebook Marketplace and got 11 people already contacting me asking my availability and beginning discussions about booking lessons (I teach sewing). 11 in less than 24 hours on Facebook Marketplace vs. ZERO in two months on Yelp Business. Don’t bother. It’s not exactly a scam, but it’s a money grab for sure. It’s *their* business and it’s aimed at making money for them. Not for you. Don’t fall into their trap and additionally feel like you’re doing something wrong or allow their lack of results to say something about the worth of your business.

Never register with them! They are aggressive, if you don't want to use their services, they will still withdraw money from your card! Never enter your card details in their application! They are crooks. They call me 15 times a day with an offer to buy their services! But I wouldn't even want the enemy to contact them! Terrible! If I could give -1 star, I would do it.

As soon as I added my business for free to their website, I started getting calls almost daily from a rep named Nicole. After a few emails as well I looked at the reviews on this app and let her know to stop calling and emailing me. Any business actually providing useful services doesn’t need to constantly bother potential customers to pay for their additional services. Let’s hope they leave me alone because I have blocked their number but it won’t surprise me if they just start calling from another one.
