Great teachers but proceed with caution
Great teachers but, as many other people state, the app itself is riddled with bugs. It works so poorly through Apple TV, the reason I have it, with the search function proving virtually useless. The customer service is awful - no email or phone - and as other people note, the renewal policy is brutal. I tried to cancel during my annual subscription and got an automatic message saying I’d immediately lose my membership. Then it renewed and despite taking no classes and contacting them within a few days, they point blank refused to refund me. For a product of this price, customers deserve better (2 stars for the excellent teachers). Seriously un Zen experience.
Yearly subscription renew scam, no refund policy
I got a yearly subscription during lockdown last year as it was a good deal. My yearly subscription then got automatically renewed even though I was sure I cancelled it before the renewal. I contacted them 2 days later when I saw the £100 payment on my statement but I never received a reply.
It’s really a lot of money I would have never spent on this service if they hadn’t scammed me.
Not customer friendly
Loads of content and hard to find the same class twice. Extremely difficult to cancel membership, not customer friendly
Don’t do it!
This company has a very aggressive subscription model, with a zero refund policy. I signed up for a monthly subscription, was moved across to annual and then received no reminder about upcoming renewal. I noticed the payment and immediately asked to cancel, only asking for a pro-rated refund for the time not lasted. I was told they do not offer refunds. I had two questions with the help team and was then told I would not be offered any further help support regarding membership questions!
They don’t even have T&C for an annual plan, and when I asked to see them they told me they won’t reply to membership questions anymore. Unbelievably poor customer service and short term money grabbing attitude. I would say avoid from as far away as possible.
The app is buggy too and often crashed and the search function for classes was in my opinion poor.
Let down
Yoga Intl is full of great content. Unfortunately the app lets the down. It’s buggy, crashes often and just plain doesn’t work properly. For example when listening to a podcast, shortly after starting, all of the co trols disappear. They are still there because you can pause and scrub through if you can remember where the controls should be.
Looking through the reviews it’s clear to see that the app has never properly worked for everyone so I have elected to ditch the app and use the browser on my phone to access content instead.
It’s a trap! Stay clear
Took out a 30 day free trial after seeing a FB advert saying you could cancel at any time. It’s a lie. Can’t cancel membership in the app and the online process to cancel is designed specifically not to work and doesn’t allow you to leave, just takes you to a page to sell you more courses and is impossible to get passed.
Any company with such obvious deception and who treat customers with that much contempt need to be called out.
On top of that, it doesn’t cast to Chromecast so unless you have the app on a TV or Apple TV, you’re stuck with it on a small screen
Crashes if you pause
Navigating through favourites is not a friendly experience. Since a recent release it doesn’t show the duration of the class. And there is no way to organise them in groups.
If I need to pause the class, it won’t restart playing. I have to close and start again and fast forward to where I was. This causes that my class doesn’t count towards my weekly goal.
Closing the video after finishing can be tricky. Like the sensitivity of the touch screen is not properly adjusted.
The variety of classes is OK. Not many options for ashtanga yoga, though
Awful app
I honestly can’t understand how it can be possible for an app to be this level of bad and still downloadable on the App Store. Quite simply, your app is broken. Please fix the plethora of issues — whether alignment being wildly off, failing to respond to device rotation, or the fact videos simply don’t work — when they do there is a persistent “pause symbol” in the middle of them, and if you do try pausing or skipping through, the entire thing breaks and you have to relaunch the app. It is frankly shocking! I just don’t get it. I want to access your content, but it is virtually unusable in its current state. Please fix.
Not great and unfair when you would like to unsubscribe
They make you pay for the extra month even if you’ve stopped using the app completely for the current month of subscription (because really you find on YouTube for free much nicer classes than here)
Great content but I can’t use it on my phone :(
Yoga classes I cast to Apple TV and that’s great but for meditation where I want to lie down with my phone and headphones, after about a minute, the audio closes. It seems the app audio cannot continue unless the device is in active use. Am I missing something? Can someone please help? In all my membership I’ve never been able to use the meditation content! I can’t find anything that can help me on your website. Thanks.
