The cost of a subscription is far too high. Not having a subscription makes the camera useless since there are nonstop ads if you so much as breathe too hard when trying to use the app. This is a disgusting thing to do to your customers, it baffles me how you can force a subscription onto customers who already paid for your product.

They continue to cripple the camera - which we paid for with a very different promise of what could be done without subscription (way overpriced). First they removed the option to see recorded videos - now they loaded the app with aggressive ads so you can’t even get to the live video. If someone from Apple is reading this: How can you allow a product people paid for to be crippled like this? Answer to Canary’s question about ads: All of them are in the way - preventing us from checking what triggered the alarm. So now we can neither see recorded video (which is the promise you sold this product on!) - we can’t even see live video because you flooded the app with ads to squeeze extra profit out of your dying product. Shameful.

these cameras are unusable without a premium contract. I don't recommend it.

Yes, it has been restarted several times!

Update: it got even worse. There are no video clips anymore when motion has been detected, and after latest app update it can’t figure out when we are home or away. Their response to my previous review was to get in touch with their customer service by email, but alas they never replied. I just discovered they have changed the window for viewing the timeline to 3 (THREE) hours, without giving any notice. This renders the camera almost worthless without signing up for the premium plan. This was not the promise at the time of purchase when they first came out :(

After the latest update (and also the one before), the amount of bugs has increased dramatically. Turns on away home when we’re home, and on/off line when we’re away and home. Filmes when we’re home (which is very uncomfortable) so we have to remember to switch it off on every time we come home. Not ideal and dynamic as before the app got updated.

It started out as a great product. But with the lack of support of HomeKit and the new app, the product really sucks. It takes forever to show the dashboard. Spins forever. And with only 3 hours “archive” the product is really bad.

I’am not able to log-in from the app, so My new Unit are useless.
