Really cool but… steps?
Really love this app. I can clearly see what to do to get progress but also get rest. But I have days where I walk a lot. Hopefully it is possible to use the steps counter to make Gentler even better

I paid for this app expecting to have useful feedbacks but so far, it was a wasted money. I work out for 30 min a day and the app says It was already too much and I should rest for the next three days. Don’t waste your money.
I use this app everyday sometimes a few times. It has almost 5 stars. When Dutch language is added it gets 5!
Really enjoying this app. It looks slick and integrates so seamlessly into my everyday routine and pairs with my Apple Watch brilliantly. Subbed on the first day
I don’t love working out, but gentler streak keeps me going 🙏
I happily pay for this app. I really love it. It’s a great motivator without feeling like you should be punished when you have an off day. It also keep an eye on where you are in your menstrual cycle and advises accordingly. I never feel scolded, just supported and it really makes me WANT to be active. And when I go too hard (happens a lot) it reminds me to rest properly. A couple of days ago I was at the gym and everything felt heavier, I checked out the app and went “ah, it’s my hormonal cycle” and went on with a bit of a softer workout it recommended. It’s really fantastic and the lil guy is really cute with his different themes and expressions. 10/10
I am using the app for a week now, and without exception it tells me each day that I should go gentler, that I am overachieving. I find that interesting, as I am actually not doing much more than my daily commute to work. A commute that I’ve been doing already before switching to Gentler Streak, and that should have been visible for the app in my health data (even though I used the actual ‘workout’ feature on my Apple Watch less back then). In this nudge to go gentler, it is now actually getting as ‘annoying’ as other apps that nudge you to complete your ring. Hoping in the end the app gets that what I’m doing is actually not overachieving, I have for now cancelled my renewal for 2025, only to be asked again to resubscribe with a discount (effective 2025 I assume). Haven’t seen that before (that early) in an app. Update after one month: while I had apparently accidentally started a workout on my Apple Watch while sitting idle behind my laptop and burning 12 calories by typing, Gentler Streak congratulated me with ‘just the workout you needed!’. Can’t take this seriously anymore. Deleted the app.
App looks great, but never has it right. It keeps saying I’m having an off day, while I’m feeling super optimal and had the best sleep for example. It’s weird.
For the last year and a half I was a big fan of this app. The concept of an allround approach to your fitness instead of brutally closing your rings every day sounded promising and the support by the staff is simply amazing. Lately I lost my faith in the approach though, now I see more and more how my fitness is becoming worse over the months. Being kind to yourself is important, but this app is TOO kind. All my indicators for a good health have drastically decreased since I use the app. My resting heart rate even went up from mid-50s to almost 70 on an average. For instance, this morning I cycled to work in a relaxed tempo and the app is telling me I’m “pushing hard” and should take a break today. I haven’t even started a workout and try to get fitter… Worse is that all my values are in the green today, and still a half-hour cycle is too much for me? I’m sorry to say this, but I’ll try the more strict method of the standard Apple watch app with clear daily goals again to actually find back my fitness. Thanks for all the assistance though!
I can’t find another language but French…
