GetYourGuide: Travel & Tickets

We booked eight tours over a two week period in both Spain and UK and the GetYourGuide company and app proved relatively consistent in meeting expectations. While there may be a tour-specific hiccup here or there, the app itself performs as expected and makes for a convenient support tool. It compares favorably with the app of a major competitor though that app may have an edge in some places. I have come back to this app yet again, this time for Portugal and Croatia. Improvements have occurred and the user experience has become more refined. I do recommend this app and the organizing tour company Get Your Guide is.

Payment will not go through unless you approve saving your credit card information. Therefor, the customer is in fact not being offered an option, they are being forced to agree. Poor customer service.

My impression of this app is that it tolerates tour guides who breach their contracts and lie. We had a tour booked months ago with an outfit called Bucintoro Viaggi in Venice Italy. We arrived to get our tickets and was told that the tours for the next two days have been cancelled with no explanation. The first explanation given was that there was an event at one of the places ( Doge palace or St Marks cathedral). Every other tour company was operating that day at those two locations. The second explanation given was “public holiday” which is nonsense. For this app to be useful, there needs to be proper vetting of tour companies. This company breached its contract and should face consequences for the inconvenience.

Today, as a family of four (four adults), we decided to go to Capri for a day tour and how lucky we were, Vincenco and Michela picked us up from Sorrento main port. From the first hello, until the last good-bye, everything was great. We had a nice trip around the island, had chances to swim and few hours free time in Capri both for very nice lunch and time to stroll in the city. They also shared some very usefull tips for our remaning Amalfi holiday . A little prosecco, swim time and sunbathing on the way back. We all had a very good time. Thx a lot indeed. Yigit

Just to let you know, this booking was really terrible and stressful. You didn’t make it clear that the transfer could not pick us up at the cruise terminal at the port of Rome. We waited for a long time and finally found your driver in a dusty parking lot a couple of kilometres from the port.

Terrible never use I don’t even get inside to my place and lost the money. Never use it.

So glad to have booked this tour. My entire family had a great time. Prompt timing with pickup and a fabulous guide with a great sense of humour and great driving skills who threw in a lot of facts and pointed out many landmarks along the way.

Really enjoyed our sail with the fantastic crew: Captain Pete, Aaron, David,Nomen and 2 others (sorry, didn’t catch their names). We had fantastic weather. We got to be grinders and also took turns at the wheel. Very exhilarating and very safe. We highly recommend this unique opportunity.
