GPSmyCity: Walks in 1K+ Cities

What can I say? I travel a lot and have used various mediums to gather information and tours of the cities and locations I find. This app is easy to use and very informative. The walking tours are very up to date and accurate (I cross checked somethings) all came out correct. The voice can feel robotic (it tells you anyway) but it’s the I for that is good. I would 100% recommend this app if you like travel but don’t want to pay extortionate prices for a guided tour with a guide. That sometimes it’s hard to hear. Do your own at YOUR pace. Looking forward to using the app many More times ahead when I travel.

Having used this app now around many countries worldwide wide it’s been a very valuable tool that provides structured walking tours and information articles on destinations. The app provides suggested walks based on categories as well as giving you the ability to create your own custom walks. As well as the GPS map to guide you it has verbal guidance making it very easy to navigate. I’m not sure just how I managed to get around different locations before using this app. The free version is excellent but as the subscription is minimal it’s more than worth paying for the extra functionality.

What a brilliant app. I have used it in many Cities all over the world. Really simple to use but excellent at help to navigate around Cities efficiently to see the suggested sites. It is informative at a good tourist level and there is more if you want it with articles etc. I highly recommend this app. Will use it again when we schedule our next trip!

We have used this app several times over the years but never subscribed and used the limited non subscriber part of the app. On a recent trip to Krakow we decided to subscribe and use the full version. It was easy to subscribe and the app walk directions and points of interest informative without being too much. If we wandered off track the app led you easily to get back on the walk. Overall impressed and worth the subscription and will be using the app on several planned city breaks in the near future.

This is a brilliant little app and saves loads of time having to read independent travel reviews as with GPSMYCITY everything is in the one place with all the best places to visit listed clearly. Also the ability to customers your own walks is a great idea and works seamlessly. Absolutely recommend.

Recently visited a few Mediterranean Islands whilst on a cruise. Having been to some of them before, we decided to arrange our own site-seeing rather than cruise line excursions and found the GPSMyCity app looking for ideas. Having now downloaded and used the app, I have to say how impressed I was with both the information provided regarding individual items of interest and the location accuracy whilst using it. I can only recommend its use if anyone plans to do their own thing whilst visiting other cities or countries.

I subscribed for a year and used it on numerous occasions, but just could not put up with the awful commentary. Apart from that, it was quite good would resubscribe if it was an improved commentary.

We used the app in Vienna, Munich and Cologne during the summer. It was most helpful and informative about these cities. We found things we could otherwise have missed. We found the maps useful too. For what we do on holiday this is a great companion. We look for landmarks, parks, architecture and the app offers us all those things.

We downloaded the app for use during a cruise, with multiple short stops at various cities. We found it informative and accurate. The walking tours are a great way of exploring the ‘must see’ parts of a city with a short timescale, without the expense of using organised excursions or tourist buses. Will definitely continue to use in future. Also very useful for UK cities if exploring closer to home.

We have used the app to explore cities in Scandinavia and South America and found it informative and easy to navigate around. It has a choice of walks but you can also create your own. The offline navigation works well, even when you take detours. You go at you own pace and choose what sites you want to spend time exploring. It was excellent value for money.
