It does what it’s intended. But the more lights you add in automation the more buggy it gets. I recommend adding at-most two lights in automation and scenes. But what’s the point t now? I would use google home but I have a HomePod😶.

Add accessory option doesn’t work Tried to update and change the network for my HomePod mini and it didn’t work. Removed the HomePod minis to re-add them but the app doesn’t even work to let you do it. Requires more effort than necessary to fix connection issues. Do not recommend this app at all.

Only one person in the house can have control unless you buy more hardware, ridiculous. This of course is only in the latest version, on the previous architecture you could use an iPad for this.

This is an issue that is all over the place on Reddit, Apple forums etc. When you invite someone to the home the invite never comes through. This is a bug that needs addressing. Apple please fix it asap. There are tons of people complaining about this particular issue.

Scrubbing through security footage (saved to iCloud, so it’s not the cameras fault) is so laggy it frequently crashes the app. It’s incredibly frustrating trying to review footage. I’m using the latest Apple TV 4K as the hub, and have a stable 900Mbps internet connection, so it’s not me. For all my other devices, it works fine.

16.2 seems to have broken invitations as I’m stuck on the invite part it just constantly says loading accessories and scenes, and never does anything else. Also HKSV camera playback is jumpy making it hard to view

Useless, Apple home just does not work with anything other than a cheap $10 router from 2010. Every time I go to use something in the app it is ‘updating’. Go to the 3rd party app and the piece of kit is working fine. Tons of articles complaining, no updates for years. Think they have given up.
