Used to be a wonderful app, but I’m canceling my subscription
I’m a Medici.TV subscriber for over 7 years. Unfortunately, in the last 3 years, the app is only getting worse after each update. - The video description is superficial and doesn’t list the names of the musics performed (unless you’re able to read the tiny letters on the reduced video screen). Many useless comments, but no program actually listed. - The screen is locked on the portrait (vertical) position of the device (Phone or tablet), what reduces the screen size and almost makes impossible to read if you use a tablet attached to a keyboard. Even if you change the device position, the image is locked on the portrait. - The app doesn’t run on second plan, so either you keep the app up and running (and can’t use your device to do something else), or you’re forced to interrupt the music to use other functions. (very close to the free version of YouTube or Philharmonie apps) - The new format using a black screen in the background reduces the contrast of the screen, so it’s harder to read and select the videos. - The new format of scroll down the videos (like many social media) is terrible: it’s tiring, and turns the video search more difficult than the previous format in the landscape position. - The search engine is now almost useless and absolutely inefficient! It lists many videos that are not related to the search terms, and almost never finds the video that the user is looking for. I hope the provider fixes all those issues soon, as those disadvantages force users to look for others apps and cancel subscriptions. The content is still very good (the artist selections had a twist to the new generation, but that’s ok), and the sound quality is real high definition, but the usage in practice/operational aspect is undoubtedly turning this app less user friendly each day. Yes, I’m canceling my subscription too.
