Disconnecting from cloud constantly
I invested in a couple of Meross smart plugs and lights and now I keep getting the below email: “ ATTENTION: Service Termination of Your meross Smart Device due to Security Concerns” I’m sure my plugs and lights have not been hacked and I assume I get this message because I’m rate limited to their cloud service, because I bought many of Meross smart devices. Devices keep disconnecting from the cloud and prevents me from controlling them remotely. I have to reset and re-link devices to my account every time this happens. Only would recommend Meross devices if you’re planning to use with HomeKit since you get remote control via an Apple Home Hub and don’t have to rely on Meross. If you’re using this with any other smart home ecosystem the cloud rate limit turns your investment in Meross devices a huge pile of garbage. Rather go with Sonoff/eWeLink since those are much more stable and less likely to disconnect.
