It has all you will need. Sweet fades is NOT another dumb crossfade, it is simply beautiful. But you have to be patience because in order to perform said sweet fades it needs to analyse all your music library to establish a set of parameters and the time that i takes to accomplish that will depends of how largens the library. Beautiful UI, eq is at hand that it should be. Congrats to Plex engineers.

Running your own Plexamp server is super easy and the accompanying app makes it a great experience with or without PlexPass.

This app would be a 5/5 for me if it would remember repeat settings, have better Carplay support, and actually behave with the RELEASETYPE metadata tags in files (I cannot get compilations to tag properly at all, but soundtracks do tag properly.) It (sometimes) defaults to no repeat, and Carplay will not play songs that I ask for if there is a # in the title of the track. Like, for example, Madonna’s “4 Minutes”. Otherwise, amazingly fantastic app. I can’t wait for it to grow and adapt over time.

I am a classical music and soundtrack snob with a vast collection of over 4 TB. Apple has never done a good job of understanding the nuances of tagging and organizing classical music. I have invested over 25 years in my digital library, and Plexamp is the first music player that has allowed me to stream my own library anywhere in the world, the way that I have it and like it to be organized. If there is one criticism of this app, whether the free or pro version, some unwanted features that cannot turn off or made otherwise invisible. A small quibble or some amazing software that does what Apple Music does not.

Love it! My FLAC files sound awesome! I’m loosing my high frequencies and I now can adjust my music listening a little via the EQ. I’ve been using PLEX for years and this is a great addition to the PLEX family.

Simple yet functional interface

I love this app and enjoy it with my 10+ year old server, but it’s missing the feature where we can open and browse to read from USB as a player. Example, I have mp3 recordings that I would like to read, it will be amazing to have the feature to open from and select the source USB in my truck to be able to use this Fantastic player, mixer, equalizer.
