Plexamp

I am currently over 3,000 kms from my home Plex server (which I don’t expose to the wild internet) in the middle of Australia with very slow internet access. I have just over 28Gb of downloaded music files in the app. Opened the app to listen when going to sleep last night - all albums say “no downloaded music”!!! 🤬 Apparently the app wanted to “refresh” all my downloads (even though that option was turned off in settings). Result- 28Gb of nothing!! (And as if I was going to refresh all that over a sketchy internet connection anyway!) Now the app wants me to connect to my Plex Media server to even login. Why can’t I just open the app in offline mode to listen to downloaded music? I normally like using this app but this really was not a good experience.

I have been using Plexamp for a few years and it is by far the best music player. The ability to completely customise the player, make smart playlists on the go and the mixes made for you are fantastic. And the sonic adventure is all types of mind bending fun. My only feedback: The top 100s that are hidden in search could be more prominent and/or auto created playlists. The only functionality I miss and really want is the ability to delete a track from my library from the app. I currently have to use a somewhat complicated rating system to mark and then delete songs

Plex amp is fantastic for imitating music streaming apps as long as you have a decent music library and a server to host it

Its good but missing a lot of iOS features so doesnt feel native

Plexamp is awesome. It has allowed me to unleash my music library and stop paying for music streaming services. It is brilliant. I paid for the Plex pass which unlocks cool features. Great value.

Works well, no issues. You guys should consider adding a download all button to albums. Manually selecting download album for 50+ albums gets tedious.

I don’t know why the plex app is so trash at playing music but Plexamp seems to do the job 👍

Never connects to Sonos through a cast unless music is stopped first. Even still, it lags and sometimes crashes at least once before finally working. Displayed lyrics are also out of sync with actual lyrics. This otherwise works as expected.

If only it had WiimAmp integration.

Sooo annoying how this trash soo still can’t do basics like display cover art properly for audio files. It takes one cover art & applies it across a whole heap of other songs. Super aggravating if you’re big on metadata displaying right, made the effort putting it there & care for proper Artist/Album covers.
