Can be a bit slow and clunky

Why have polestar decided I MUST have iOS 16? The app no longer works as it won’t open on my phone. Why can’t I keep using the older version? It worked fine, apart from regularly signing me out.

When it works, it’s fantastic! But it only works reliably maybe 20% of the time. Usually, I’ll open the app and it will sit at the loading screen and never connect to the car. Yesterday, I installed an OTA update in the car (it finished 24h ago and I’ve driven it just fine since then), but the app is still telling me the car is unavailable because it’s updating. I really hope Polestar is putting some effort into fixing this stuff.

Basically don’t buy a polestar if you think the app is going to be a pleasurable part of the experience. The car is great but the app is not. - consistent timeouts - buttons often don’t work and might take three or four attempts - battery charge level is often reported incorrect - amp setting for charge limits doesn’t seem to work - location of car only work when car is stationary Basically not much works and when it does it’s inconsistent

Since purchasing our Polestar2 two months ago we have been experiencing constant issues and problems with this app. To begin with, the internet access stopped working in the car within 2 days of delivery. Once fixed, our apps refused pair with the car. Using the app to show battery level, lock and climate status was available but the app never worked as a digital key. The app does not work for scheduling charging, remote lock/unlock or operating the climate controls. We had reset the operating system in the car to factory settings 3 times. These problems have still not been resolved despite many hours spent by us and technicians. As a result of Apple’s latest software update the app has blocked our access and will not load. We have been told by the Auckland dealership that many Polestar owners are experiencing these problems as well.

Great when it works. I can lock, unlock the car; turn on the climate control; use my phone as a key fob to drive; control the battery charging. The problem is that it disconnects quite often. Sometimes you have to open the app and "retry" before you can unlock or drive the car. It would be really nice if it worked every time so you could rely on the phone.

The Polestar app, and the polestar software in my Polestar 2 is terrible. The app has no functionality, and it feels like what is there, is an afterthought. Which ties into the buggy, laggy, useless software running on the car. The fact that when you an your partner travel together, and your digital key profile overrides the physical key is embarrassing. And the fact you cannot have the 360 camera going with the reverse camera is idiotic. Please fire your developer team, burn this code in a dumpster fire and start again!

Great app with small number of features, works fine 100% of the time, though had to reset the system in the car shortly after buying it to achieve that. I use Battery level frequently to set & see % charged👏 Location find is great! 😀 Lock/unlock is great when keys are elsewhere, & can drive without keys 😊 The mix of these makes my Polestar easily found, and stolen if my phone is stolen, the App has zero login security 😟 Recommended developers implement facial recognition amongst other login security measures urgently.

Lots of sync issues and generally shoddy design

Worked last week but now having trouble opening app so lost digital key. Very frustrating.
