Sync - Secure cloud storage

Great app, great platform for image storage and sharing. Would highly recommend, better than Dropbox.

I moved to Sync from Dropbox, wanting more security. Sync does everything I want, great cloud storage and file sharing is easy.

This service doesnt get enough attention. Its the only one i feel safe putting my documents into.

For years I’ve trusted sync with my files and data.

Great app works well for me.

So the app is adequate and quite basic. The reason I’m leaving sync is their pushy emails. They send email with subject like ‘Urgent Update:……” and all it is is trying to get you to upgrade from a free account, not an urgent update at all. Very spammy. Obviously they can just be deleted but it’s more about the way the company operates and their ethics that has driven me away.

Previewing photos just does not work on the apps. Desktop is fine but photos just will not show on phone or pad versions. Have tried everything. Perhaps an update will resolve.

Doesn’t upload files/sync. Tried so many times. Uploads just stand still, nothing happens, no data moves.

I like Sync. I think overall it’s a pretty good cloud provider. This app though sadly is not great, it’s not even good. It’s barely functional and when you do get it to work, without the crashing, is so incredibly slow it makes it worthless. You may as well go online and access stuff through the browser. This is the biggest downside of sync, speed. The company will go on about encryption but there are plenty of sites that do encryption and are nowhere near as slow or clunky as this. It’s a very frustrating app to use.
