Charged money for cancelled subscription
I’ve installed Ahead app to try it and then cancelled my subscription within the 5 days trial period in Apple settings/subscriptions. So in setting this subscription is mentioned as inactive. Though Ahead app still charged me for a yearly subscription 79.99 USD. I sent an email to the only contact mentioned on the website and didn’t get any respond from them.
Bugs
I’ve started procrastination course, but when I switched to anxiety all lessons were marked as completed
Fun & Simple
Fun and simple app to use. The way it presents information is clear and done in a non-patronising, enjoyable way. The small exercises are quick and engaging, helping to make sure I - a) can fit it easily into my day and b) retain the information. The whole app feels kind and gentle, which is exactly how we should be with ourselves when it comes to working on oneself.
Thoughtful Help
I haven’t experienced something like Ahead before, previous resources (e.g. NHS) feel patronising, whilst Ahead feels compassionate. I like that there is a logical journey through a session (e.g. Anxiety) and I feel I am being taught the tools to make myself stronger, and given the scientific reasons why, I feel empowered.
AVOID Crooks rip off
This app signs you up then charges you £50 without being used rip off!
Feels like it’s making a difference already
Been using ahead for about 3 days and I find myself thinking about the techniques learned in everyday situations. Hopefully they will become natural with more practice
No refunds given.
I took out a 1 week free trial and ,whilst the app was okay, it didn’t work for me. Went to cancel my subscription on the final day, only to find the payment had already been taken. Disputed with Apple twice. Decision was no refund. Not great when some people will more than likely be using this app as a support for anxiety and other feelings linked to finances. I know the one week free subs was obviously up, but surely there could be a slight grace period if it is obvious the app hasn’t been accessed by the user?
They harass you on facebook. Also not free app as stated.
Love the idea but forces you to take a free trial and pay to use. I commented this on a their facebook post advertising this app, to then be harassed by them, calling me fat.
