Definitely needs several bugs worked out. I stopped using it after I bought a pair of shoes that never got shipped. It was a whole year of their “customer service” shoving me off onto PayPal or not responding at all. That was 2 years ago and Ive never gotten my money back. I just spent some time on the app and tried to buy something, but be warned - trying to make sure you have the right address is near impossible, as is trying to do anything else. All private messages show up blank as well.

As a buyer who is honest, all my purchases go perfectly and arrive as described. On the other hand as a reputable seller there comes with limitations. For example when there is an issue with the item you sent as a buyer you are not notified through the app, just on email. For most sellers we still work full time and have numerous duties. So not being notified of any order issues on the app is an issue that should be looked into. Additionally if a buyer gets a refund for an order you sent, unless you respond promptly, you are stuck paying back your payout amount, their shipping tax/fees, and they get to keep the product. This is extremely unfair because you bought the shipping supplies, put in time/ effort to send, and bought the item with your own money. Buyers should be expected to return the product back to sellers. Lastly, as a recommendation there is a selling app which allows the buyer a few days to inspect the item, accept if wanted, and or return if unwanted for a refund. This is how it should be. Let’s make the app fair on both ends for buyers and sellers.
I had depop for about two years and opened the app and suddenly logged out of everything. I have no ability to make an account. There was no email or alerts of why I was banned and cannot access/ create another account.

The depop update is still continuously causing stressful issues in regard to messages between sellers & buyers. As both a seller & a buyer, the current messaging system makes it extremely difficult to navigate between messages from buyers and literally hundreds of “offer” messages from items I’ve liked over the course of 6 years. I’m considering leaving depop as both a buyer and a seller due to this issue as well as many other issues on depop regarding exorbitant pricing on drop-shipped items from other sellers, a saddening lack of moderation regarding scammers and drop shipping, high fees and shipping prices, etc. This messaging system update feels like the last straw and makes the app extremely difficult to use as both a buyer and a seller. If the messaging system gets fixed, it may change my mind but the messaging system has been like this for long enough that I’m not holding out much hope for a better update, and if an update does come I don’t put it past depop to somehow make it worse, unfortunately. - a depop buyer and seller that has been on the platform since 2017
