Proton Drive: Cloud Storage

app is cool and proton is cool. one problem though: can’t see files synced from my PC on an app. Proton team, really? this is quite the opposite to what you expect from cloud storage service.

Thank you for your work. An excellent application for secure file sharing and storage. It would be great if you could upload an unlimited number of photos instead of 10 at a time. It would also be great to see an icloud/Google Photo analog for automatically uploading photos from the device to an encrypted cloud. P.S. And the last thing. Please return the Proton VPN app to the AppStore 🙏. Your new protocol perfectly resists Russian censorship.

It acts like you'd expect; I've not come across any bugs. Anyone that wants a not self-hosted yet still privacy respecting alternative to Google Drive would be happy with this, and I recommend people try it if they're on the edge of getting it or not. Proton's a good company too, so paying for this supports a good cause. One feature that would be nice, however, is to allow file compression on/pre upload. Matrix should have a lossless, stealable compression algorithm. And I had one bug that resolved itself within 10 minutes of installing the app: being unable to save images/files from iOS. Anyways, I'm glad to see Proton's trying to make somewhat of an ecosystem. If I get money to spare I plan to support them. I can't wait to see the Proton computer and Proton car next (have to beat Apple to the iCar).

I don’t understand why 1, it doesn’t create a folder specifically for my iphone uploads and 2, seems to just stop backing up when I switch to another app. Im not going to keep it open as the app im looking at for 10k images. Really disappointed. Also needs to backup automatically each image as I get a new one.

but there is no landscape mode for iphone 15 pro max. allow us to view complete files names in full in tiles or list.

I am a Proton fan and subscriber. However, this app is subpar and performing very poorly. Others have spoken about the photo sync issues (my photos have not been uploaded for over a month now). But the main issue to me is the fact that often my files are simply not accessible from the app. Either it tries to open a pdf file and fails, or opens it but it is empty (zero kilobytes). How to fix it? Delete the app and reinstall it. Extremely annoying and unreliable.
