Doesn’t detect books

I have to use this as part of a university subscription and when I download books the Reader cannot detect them.

Waste of time trying to get this app to work

Useless, unlike any other Adobe app. Shouldn’t be in App Store.

Two academic e-books I’ve paid for are unusable because they depend on this app. Currently I use an iPad only and the help page states you have to install the purchased book on a computer and then transfer to iPad. The e-book seller doesn’t tell you before you pay. When I did use a desktop computer the book I’d paid for was still unusable. I resent the time I’ve had to waste to find this out. Adobe should not tolerate their brand being associated with this. Apple should remove it from the App Store. The app was last updated 3 years ago. So the e-book seller has been taking money whilst the similar reviews were online.

This app is a waste of valuable time

The appp is designed to work with the adobe ecosystem but when I attempted to login, I have been told that my very correct password is incorrect. Then when I tried to get help from the chat, the representative was passive aggressive and left the chat without helping me at all. This is was a waste of an afternoon.

Books were unreadable

Genuinely no idea how this app is still available, it’s terrible. Every book I downloaded, the text was unreadable.

Every 2nd page displays completely garbled

Unusable on my 11” iPad Pro (3rd gen). Every 2nd page or so is displayed completely garbled, such that you can’t actually use the app for what it’s for: reading books. This happens even with the preinstalled “getting started with Adobe Digital Editions” ebook so not a download issue. I read most books in Apple’s Books app but Adobe foisted this DRM shtuff on us so could they at least make it work?

Is Adobe joking with us!? Why do you create something that it can't be used?

No 2FA support (?!)

In 2024 this app doesn’t support accounts with 2FA enabled, so it won’t work on latest iPad unless you 1. disable 2FA 2. Login on iPad/iPhone 3. Reenable 2FA. 😔 Quite a sad experience to have to go through this process.

Doesn’t work

Unfortunately, I cannot give this app zero stars. This app does not work at all on my iPad. Downloaded to read e-books but is useless. Rather frustrating to say the least.

Unfit for purpose

Downloaded library book and it’s unreadable. AI assistant on help page does not understand and ran me round in circles. Damn sight easier to buy the book from Amazon! 🤦‍♀️
